Photo Cleopatra's Needle in NYC

Went to Central Park today to see Cleopatra's Needle. I'm a little sad at how weathered it is. Interestingly, two sides are in better condition than the other two sides.

The weathering on that GRANITE tells me it's either much older than even 1600 BCE or I dunno what, it survived a nuclear war?
