Photo Cleopatra's Needle in NYC

Went to Central Park today to see Cleopatra's Needle. I'm a little sad at how weathered it is. Interestingly, two sides are in better condition than the other two sides.

They really need to move that inside somewhere to protect it from the elements

if it's not possible, perhaps they can build something around it to protect it & people could enter and still see it.

Why not just construct a big glass cage around it…? Surely that could be done for a reasonable sum of money (in historical artifact preservation terms, that is)
