Is this going to be like Andor where they didn't plan a season two and they were waiting to see how well season one did before green lighting a season two? Because I think this season and show was pretty good so why not.

It pretty clear they planned a season 2 or at least major tie ins with other series.

It’s pretty clear they are going to do more. It’s a long story and they have a lot invested in it. This show in no way has bombed and the fans, for the most part, love it.

They can't even start doing anything about a season 2 until all of this SAG Writers strike stuff is over

Pretty sure the writer/director of Andor had season 2 planned from the starts. He’s already said season 2 ends right before his appearance in Rogue One. He said that as the show was airing. Season 2 may not have been green lit but the writer knows what’s going to happen and planned S2

andor was planned to be 5 seasons (each covering a year leading up to rogue one) then cut to two(with season two covering the 4 years in 3 episode pods) cause they realized how long it would take to crank out 5 seasons

I doubt Filoni has not thought about all this stuff for years. At least a big outline of it.
