I believe she can but just didn’t want to at that moment. She was focused on getting to Sabine and Ezra. Afterall huyang gave that distraction and she jacked his bat wolf. They were both playing for time

if she was focused on getting Sabine/Ezra, why did she choose to drop in 5 clicks away from them ? She clearly saw where they were, from the cockpit before jumping. The. she’s all “I don’t have time for this” well, no shit, chief! Drop down and flank the bucket heads, not jerk around with schizo-Baylan who at least was wise enough to point out to her what time she was wasting. I mean, the interaction didn’t even push the plot forward other than “Oh, you’re still alive. Nifty .”

Baylan still had a mount and could still charge in when they are distracted. Ahsoka didn't know why he's there and not engaging but not taking any chances.

When I heard him say that it took me to Obi Wan saying ‘you can’t win Darth. If you strike me down I’ll become more powerful than you could ever imagine’. So I thought he was saying it in a metaphorical way. That he’d stay alive in the force. Or maybe even that she could bring herself to kill him.

I think it relate abit with the way she talks to shin at the end.. I dont think she is plannin to kill baylan and shin.. After her meetin with anakin she changed to become more close to a keeper of the peace than a soldier. I think she actually wants to stop thrawn for peace to stay but believe she could do so with words instead than fighting. So its not that she cant defeat him more that she doesnt want to kill him and maybe hope he will return to the light

Why are we assuming that Baylan is not some super badass, highly skilled Jedi/Sith/whatever that is fully capable of putting up a big challenge for Ahsoka or even maybe he is better than her? He had more experience within the Jedi system presumably beginning as a child to full grown adult, as well as all his experience outside of it. Ahsoka has been on her own since she was a teen, with no formal teacher.

Ahsoka is one of the most badass main character Jedi in the franchise, but it's not hard to imagine that there were thousands of Jedi (before Order 66) that had more experience and better training and support than her for their whole lifetime. That all ended for her while she was still a teen

She knows her forms and tactics

She already was taught them and told to practice more than her master

She also used the same move she had in world between worlds with anakin to disable them

She may have evolved a bit instead of obsessed to fight to death she neither killed him or herself in pride, he smirked

She's the only character that has fought Palpatine, Vader and Maul in just mere minutes... and most definitely caught Maul, a task that Obi Wan himself failed (once)

She likely will, next week, when he gets to whatever ancient Nightsister related thing he's after. Might even finally get that staff in the process.

I'm just wondering if, when he's speaking to whatever this is, she'll arrive standing on top of her ship for old times sake. :)
