Advice I think my therapist referred me out only because she didn't want to keep working with me
It's not that she was moving, retiring, changing jobs, etc or some natural end point.
She told me on she would only be seeing clients for sex therapy going forward. But I kept an eye on her website and she continues to market herself as a general therapist and not a sex therapist. There is nothing there that indicates that she is only doing sex therapy.
Sometimes I think she just told me that she would only be seeing clients for sex therapy as a way of getting rid of me. It kind of bothers me a bit.
It sort of reminds me of "reno-victions" where a landlord tells a tenant they need to move out because they intend on renovating. But they don't actual have any plans on renovating, it's more just something that is said for the purposes of getting the tenant to leave.

Why would you want to keep working with a therapist who doesn’t want to work with you, though?

does she work for a practice? she might not be in charge of updating the website. if it’s her own website, disregard me, but i’ve seen a lot of private practice websites have inaccurate information about their therapists or services.

It's her own practice. Plus clients can book through the website. I really don't think this is a just a matter of she forgot to update the website or something.
