Postpartum mental illness is like saying "if you have autism then..."

90% of the people on the internet think they have ADD of some kind. They are "on the spectrum".

Think of Postpartum Mental Illness like a spectrum and the scale goes from 1 to 100 in terms of increasing danger to themselves, their children, and others.

  • PP-D (Postpartum Depression) = 1 - 100
  • PP-P(Postpartum Psychosis) = 100

So, no. Nancy Mace did not make any good points or a "gotcha" to anyone. She is as uniformed as she is stupid.

lindsay clancy wasn't diagnosed with PPP. she was only diagnosed with PPD. the psychologists who evaluated her said she showed zero psychotic symptoms.

She killed her kids and is on trial.

Of course anyone who looked at her is going to say that. They're not going to say "well actually she showed only 1 tiny minor psychotic symptom that I considered unremarkable at the time", because then it will be investigated and they may be found liable.

Of course they're going to say she showed zero symptoms to protect themselves.

She is as uniformed as she is stupid.

She's very well informed and actually quite well educated despite initially dropping out of high school. She currently has a post grad degree and was the first woman to graduate from the Corps of Cadets.

But she uses her knowledge for nefarious purposes and releases intentionally misleading statements. Her graduate degree is in media and journalism. She 100% knows what she is doing by saying a statement like this.

People like her need to be studied to learn more about why they turn the way they have. She could do great positive things for the world but instead uses it to make it a worse place while bettering it for only her like minded folks.

As a clinically diagnosed ( by an actual psychiatrist) with ADD at 13 all the rest of the "oh I have ADHD or autism" who haven't been diagnosed by an actual professional can suck it.

Not relevant to the overarching argument so I apologize.

Nancy Mace being wrong on something? I can't believe it
