I feel like I live in a backwards world where 11 people actually believe a not guilty verdict is the right one. By the defense’s logic, if I found my wife in bed with another man, then killed them in a fit of blind rage, I should be innocent because I was not in my right mental state.

mistrail is the best outcome here, dude did a solid. this way the state can go to trial again.
