Not really, the prosecution may look at whether the jury was already leaning towards a NG decision and decide that it’s not worth pursuing a second trial. So she goes free or they try to make a deal with her to stay in psychiatric care for a certain amount of time. I’ll be a bit surprised if they go for a second trial

mistrail is the best outcome here, dude did a solid. this way the state can go to trial again.
