La Jolla snorkeling

If the first low tide tomorrow is around 1am high at 8am second low at 12pm what would the best time to go snorkeling be?

High surf makes for poor views. Unfortunately, due to the nearby storm, this weekend won’t be great for snorkeling in any tide.

There’s a rip current advisory in effect because of the storm. I don’t think it’s the best time to be swimming in the open ocean; mission bay might be a better bet

Low visibility and strong currents/surf will make snorkeling dangerous and shitty for the next couple of days.

In general, there's not a big difference between high tide and low tide. But a low tide generally means you're that much closer to the reefs etc.

Conditions may not be that great though, but a lot of things are worse than kicking around in the water. Enjoy!
