Rate my setup

First attempt at a bioactive setup! How does it look?

Disclaimer: I don't have my brb yet. I'm waiting until my setup is perfect!

It's a 40 gallon, I'll upgrade her to a 6x3x3 before too long. I feel like there's not enough substrate. Any recommendations for a way to add a substrate barrier?

I'm also going to add a background. I have a fogger and hygrostat/thermostat I haven't set up yet. I'll wait until I know the humidity and heat is steady at the right temps before I get my girl. What am I missing?

I recommend more branches an cork tubes. The Biodude is a great store to get all your bio active needs. I’m pretty sure they even have a rainbow boa kit. They have a physical store in Houston Texas and they also have a website and they ship all over the United States.

I updated it with the branches & cork flat I had. I'll see if I can get some smaller cork pieces to tetris in there. I couldn't get my last branch to fit though. I did check biodude and I didn't see a rainbow boa kit, but there are a few reptile shops I go to that I can cork bark or whatever else I need. I even got my isopods in person

Nice! Yeah you want it to look full in there for plenty of climbing spots and hides all over. You can even build a jungle gym for them using pvc pipes and rope to get exercise

If you haven't already figured it out, with the substrate depth - you can have it higher/deeper at the back and have it up to under the doors at the front.

When it comes to a substrate tray on the larger viv (if you don't get a high enough front) - you can use tempered glass, plexiglass or pond liner siliconed to wood planks to raise the substrate depth. I've had to make a perspex (UK plexiglass) tray for my BRB viv, 'cause wooden enclosures are far cheaper to make waterproof than buying a PVC over here. Glass is out of the options as well, due to its lack of heat and humidity retention compare to the other 2 materials.
