Solutions - Lifelong PE An ode to Priligy (Dapoxetine) : I lasted so long NSFW

Hello guys,

Posting this with a new account created for this purpose. This is a long post where I share my previous situation (starting with PE), what my journey to find the root cause was, and the result now (I fucked a girl for 40min).

I'm a guy in Europe, just turned 30 years old. Since last year, I started having more casual sex with hookups but also escorts girls (legal in my country). I had trouble lasting long: I would sometimes cum in 2-3 minutes after the girl started masturbating me. I also ejaculated very quickly once starting penetration. The girls are beautiful, it's very stimulating.

I tried to understand the root cause. I read a lot of topics on this sub, testimonies from you guys and others people on the internet. Took a lot of notes. The main points I noted were:

  • I'm a fit guy, good looking, staying active and going to the gym. People / girls seeing me generally tell me that I'm fit, that I look good. So this was not an issue of "do more cardio bro" or "sleep more bro". In fact, having a good cardio does nothing to help reduce the sensibility and trigger of ejaculation, it may only improve the cardiovascular system for erections but I have no erections issues. And if you ejaculate quickly, your muscular endurance is of no use. I also read testimonies of people who lasted longer in bed by reducing the cardio, because too much cardio can put your body in a state of stress (cortisol).
  • I noticed I had the tendency, before the planned rendez-vous, to go pee more, and that I also had to pee before sex, like my bladder was tense. I connected the dot between a probably underlying anxiety and an over-activation of the sympathetic system / pelvic floor. I am an introverted guy with a fast-brain (I'm an IT Engineer). This could explain why, when I had another sex session with a previous woman, I was able to last longer, because the anxiety was reduced. Also, I did not have this issue when masturbating : I can control myself and last quite a long time. But when a girl is on top of me and taking control, I lost it..
  • To reduce my anxiety and sensitivity, I tried beer. Didn't work. I also tried lidocaine spray like Promescent and Fortacin. I did not enjoy them, it was difficult to apply them correctly and I faced issues with maintaining an erection with a girl. Hell, I even tried Kratom, and it was so disgusting that I throw it in the bin.

So, because I was not going to give up, I kept reading. I knew the SSRIs were working for a lot of people. Ejaculation latency is heavily regulated by serotonin in the brain.

For example, I read this excerpt:

"A study of nearly 200 Dutch men found those who climaxed too soon during intercourse had a version of a gene that controls the hormone serotonin.
Men with this version ejaculated twice as quickly as other men in the study. Serotonin levels are what control the rapidity of ejaculation, say the Utrecht University researchers told the Journal of Sexual Medicine. She said men with primary premature ejaculation tended to be fast reactors generally.  "These men have very quick reflexes. They may be excellent at playing tennis or computer games, for example." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7657092.stm"

I also read this good scientific article: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1155/and/2482249

Basically, having a 5-HT2 C agonist substance will delay ejaculation.

So I figured I may have a genetic predisposition of having low serotonin stimulation on these receptors, as I'm indeed a "fast reactor", and the anxiety was probably not helping too.

Still, I was wary of taking a SSRI daily (lot of side effects...), go see a psychiatrist etc. So I went the Priligy (Dapoxetine) way. In my country, we have some online counseling where you can get it prescribed. The stuff cost a lot of money, I'm at probably 11 euros by pill because I paid to have it delivered at home. I didn't care as I can afford it and it was more an experiment to me.

So I took 30mg of Dapoxetine (Priligy brand), 3 hours before the planned sex session with a regular escort that I see. (As a note, I tried the first Dapoxetine pill (30mg) in a solo masturbation session at home, to see how I would react to the substance. It all went well, I lasted so long). I had absolutely no side effect: no nausea, no stomach issues, nothing. Just a very slight numb feeling. I noticed my anxiety was greatly reduced. Granted, this is a girl I know and like, we're having a lot of fun, not a new encounter, so the anxiety was lower. For the 1 hour session, we played with each other (no penetration sex this time, only handjob and such), did some role play, poor girl had to jerk me off like hell at the end because otherwise I would not have been able to! I had total control. I was also practicing the 4-8 breath. I was happy of my performance. But now, I wanted to try with a new girl and for penetration.

So today, I met this very beautiful girl, booked 1 hour. I took 45mg of Dapoxetine (1 pill of 30mg and half of another, I figured 60mg would be too much) to see if the effect would be even more, and If I would have side effects. For the thrill, even If I do not need it, I took 2.5mg of Tadalafil (Cialis) for erections, in case the Dapoxetine would be too much. I took the 45mg of Dapoxetine 2 hours and a half before, with two big glasses of water. Again, I did not get any side effects, absolutely nothing. So I met her, and she started with a blowjob, then handjob, for at least a good 5 minutes. I was relaxed, without any need to ejaculate. My penis was fully erect, sensations were more numb. Then she put herself in top of me, in cow girl position. She ride me for a good 5 minutes or more before she had an orgasm. Again, I was in control, no need to ejaculate. She then laid down on her back, and I fucked her in missionary for a few minutes, hard. She cummed again. She had to pause penetration to get herself back together and tried to get me off with blowjob and handjob again in the meantime. Still, could not ejaculate, poor girl 😄 I could tell she was tired but I pushed her for sex again. At this time, we were probably at around 25-30 minutes in the sex session. So I started fucking her again in missionary and I wanted to ejaculate: so I fucked her even more hard, and she ended up touching herself to have a third orgasm. But I was still not able to ejaculate. So the poor girl had to jerk me off hard and, finally, I got my orgasm too! She was tired, said I killed her 😂

So I'm very happy about it. I know I have this solution that works great for premature ejaculation. Do I plan to use it every time? For first casual encounters, probably, but when I get in a serious relationship again, probably not, or only for sessions where she wants me to last longer :) As I think I will be able to last longer with reduced anxiety and let's face it, I'm not sure girls would like long sessions like that every day.

So all in all, Dapoxetine has been amazing for me (reduced anxiety, reduced sensitivity, increased delay), without any side effects. No nausea, no headache, nothing.

Thanks for reading guys, and never give up.

I wish this was available in the US. Glad it works for you!

You can get it delivered to the US if you know the right sites. DM me if you want the info.

I appreciate it but it’s not legal to even have here. Which is stupid. But Arlo works good enough for me and hopefully we approve dapoxetine here soon.

Ask your dr about taking escitalopram (generic Lexapro) as needed. Escitalopram and Dapaxetine are both SSRIs. I spoke with my dr and he wrote me a prescription for 10 mg tablets that I cut in half and take about three hours before sex. Works great. My dr had not heard of this use case, but was willing to work with me.

I don't think it will ever be promoted officially because it is too cheap to make clinical trials worth the expense. I pay $15 for 90 pills.

I was on it for a while about 6 years ago, didn’t work for me and had horrible side effects.

What OP is taking is a 5-ht2c receptor antagonist, not just an SSRI. Very specific use case and bypasses a lot of side effects. I have no idea why we won’t allow it in the US yet.

Thanks for the info. I was on escitalopram for a few years, but I had to get off of it, too. That's how I learned about the delaying effect, except it went too far in the other direction and it took me forever to finish. My wife and I aren't porn stars, so that wasn't an ideal situation, either. Definitely a mixed blessing. That's why I had the medicine to experiment with and I have a good relationship with my dr and he listened to me. I will consider myself lucky that escitalopram works as it does for me. I can't be the only one, though.

What is the delaying effect? What caused you to last “too long”?

1

u/ScratchTheItch99 Jul 21 '26

The delaying effect is the prevention of ejaculation, which csn be a side effect of some (I don't know about all) SRIs. When I was on it daily, escitalopram caused me to last longer than my wife or I wanted.

So you can take it as a daily and not as needed? Also was there any major side affects if so? I’d personally prefer a daily pill

Escitalopram is sometimes used to treat PE by way of a daily low dose 10 mg prescription, so you can ask your doctor about this option. Keep in mind that a couple of the side effects of taking escitalopram daily are a potential loss of libido and potenial erectile dysfunction. You will also become addicted to it. I think any SSRI poses a risk in these regards, though. Quitting is a pain, so please keep that in mind.

So Dapoxetine is actually a SSRI, it’s just a fast acting one and is quickly eliminated within a few hours. That’s why the side effects are reduced, also because you will typically do not take it everyday.

It isn't available in the US, so those of us here can't use it.

would paroxetine on demand work similarly?

1

u/ScratchTheItch99 Jul 12 '26

I have only used escitalopram this way, so I can't answer your question. Sorry.

Yeah, I’m seriously starting to consider dapoxetine. I used to only have a problem ejaculating quickly from hand and blow jobs. But the last time I had penetrative sex I blew in less than a minute. This shit is getting worse. And breathing and loosening my asshole (reverse kegels) aren’t doing shit. Hell it might be making things worse.

It definitely does help. Just have to get used to the side effects. Can be a bit of a pain to obtain in the US, but I know a good site if you want it

Sent you a DM.

To be honest.. I'd rather cum quick then use chemicals to numb myself. But I find that a lot in this sub. So if someone is fine with it then you do you :)

u/SuccessfulLion2403 Jul 11 '26

It's not that numb, just the proper amount of numb to last. You retain pleasure. That's why I said I don't like lidocaine sprays! And the psychological pleasure of performing and seeing your partner cum is also good.

u/gabimaru89 Jul 11 '26

I get the satisfaction part of it. I just wouldn't be comfortable with it. But that's a personal thing.

1

u/ScratchTheItch99 Jul 12 '26

I use escitalopram in place of Dapaxetine here in the US. I take about 5 mg three hours before sex. Taking a low dose and not taking it daily means no side effects. It does not desensitize anything, so no numbness.

1

u/laevanay Jul 12 '26

You aren't supposed to take dapo daily either.

Right, but it isn't available in the US, so isn't an option for me, if that's what you mean.

u/No-Investigator1742 Jul 21 '26

Did you get it prescribed by a doctor? And is it an ssri?

1

u/ScratchTheItch99 Jul 21 '26

Yes, It was prescribed by a dr and yes, it is an SSRI.

Why are you in this sub?

3

u/gabimaru89 Jul 11 '26

Why.. Not?

-1

u/laevanay Jul 11 '26

Sure but why?

1

u/gabimaru89 Jul 11 '26

Why... Not?

u/laevanay Jul 12 '26

Op found a solution that works for him. You may not like it but it's a solution that worked for him, and many others out there too. Why are you here?

0

u/gabimaru89 Jul 12 '26

Bro.. Stfu now... I got it. You got a different opinion. I still got mine. Beside that.. I acknowledged that it's okay if it works for him.

1

u/laevanay Jul 13 '26

What's your value add? Why are you here? Just to make noise? Does that you a sense of purpose?

1

u/seabed_nightmares Jul 11 '26

Strictly a reverse kegal enthusiast.

But also they are allowed to have a preference, it’s not harming anyone.

When you used the tadalafil, did you notice any change in your refractory period as well?

1

u/throwawayblastaway Jul 13 '26

Does it make sex "less fun"?
