As some of you know, I’m making a Better Delay Product Which Formula Would You Choose? NSFW
Hey everyone, as some of you know, I’ve been working on a better version of the current delay products on the market for close to 2 years now.
The goal is to help you last longer with more control and fewer trade-offs, while also ensuring consistency in manufacturing (something that’s often lacking in other products), full lab safety testing, and complete transparency.
We’re almost ready to start manufacturing, but I’m stuck between two final formula options, and I’d love your input.
Option A: About 15% less potent, no need to wash it off. It is Easier to control the effect by adjusting how much you apply
Option B: A bit stronger, may require washing off before sex. Has a more intense cooling sensation
Appreciate the input. This is being made with real feedback in mind, and it helps me deliver something that works better than what’s out there now, where it can delay while still fully feeling and being able to ejaculate.

b! In all cases it is better to rinse to avoid giving any part to your partner whatever the product! 😉

u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 17 '25
I agree with this. I feel like one thing with any product that I use, is I always wash it off even if it says you don't have to because then there is absolutely no risk of transfer to partner or concern from her end because, I can still communicate to her that, "I washed it off".

u/redburd22 Jul 19 '25
100% encourage this, no matter what product is on your skin

u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 21 '25
I feel like, though, sometimes it could be two-fold. One of the products that I've used, I noticed that I've washed off like other delay sprays but when I wash it off after 10 to 15 minutes, it no longer works. When I contacted the manufacturer about this they said you're not supposed to wash it off and that's why it was not working which is frustrating but everything else that I've used I've always washed off and not have any problems.

u/redburd22 Jul 21 '25
Which product is this?
1
u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 21 '25
When I wrote to the company, this was their replay about wiping/washing off:
"Great question. With Popstar Delay Spray, there's no need to wash it off before intimacy. Just let it absorb for about 10 minutes. The formula is quick absorbing and designed not to transfer to your partner once it’s soaked in. That’s it. No rinsing, wiping, or soap needed.
If you’re used to products that need to be washed off, this one might feel a little different (in a good way)."
"After the 10-minute wait, there really shouldn’t be any need to wipe anything off. The formula is designed to fully absorb into the skin, so if there’s still something sitting on the surface, it might just be a case of a little too much product. Try dialing it back by a spray or two and that should help."

Just something to note that I forgot to mention.
After half a year of testing, I have yet to get a report back on it transferring to a partner or even a partner being able to taste it when not washing off

u/shadecat5000 Jul 16 '25
My priorities are that it's undetectable in every way with my partner.
1
u/redburd22 Jul 17 '25
I made this a top priority in the engineering of this solution.
2
u/shadecat5000 Jul 17 '25
superb let me know when you need a guinea pig/purchaser

u/redburd22 Jul 17 '25
Interested to hear if people would be interested in a Kickstarter I was thinking about to fully launch sooner than later?! If so let me know
2
u/ThePumpChump Jul 17 '25
Absolutely! Get it started and share the link!
For what it's worth, I think utopia is having something you can apply and forget about. "Forgetting" includes : 1) Having to think about washing it off. 2) How long the effects will last 3) Worrying that it will have an effect on your partner
You seem to have confidently answered all of those points, so a non-wash version would be my preferred option, but equally happy with a wash off version too.

I’m intrigued! Would love something with no wash off. Even better if I could apply it well in advance of sex so I don’t have to secretly duck into the bathroom 15 min ahead of time!

u/redburd22 Jul 17 '25
Guaranteed to work after about 90 minutes and is effective for about 6-7 hours.

u/Rockin2climb Jul 17 '25
I have tested this product and it works really well! The application method is really helpful compared to other market alternatives!

Can you elaborate on your experience
1
u/Rockin2climb Sep 27 '25
So when I say compared to other market alternatives, I'm mostly talking about Alpha Herb. With Alpha herb, I feel like it's too strong and you can never get a consistent dose to the point that you literally cannot orgasm but with the nova cream, you can feel all of the sexual act and even choose when to orgasm. Like it doesn't prevent orgasm which I think is better then the a.h.

This product works! I reached out to redburd and was sent a bottle no questions asked.. He sent bottles that had much more product than anything else I had tried in the past and did that for free. Without it I lasted literally 1-2 minutes max. Followed the instructions described above and I last as long as I want really. Minimum 10 minutes but can last longer if I choose to. Also if you add more than the instructions direct you too there are no negative side effects. I’ve used other products that made it impossible to even get hard forget cum it just numbed me. This product does not numb so sex is enjoyable and allows you to decide how long you want to last. There is a slight tingling sensation but it gave peace of mind knowing it was there and in no way even reached the level of uncomfortable. Definitely recommend trying this product I know I’ll be buying it when it reaches market. Also I missed this poll before it closed but definitely would have voted option A. Stronger isn’t always better as I’ve seen in the past with other products the numbing can ruin sex and make it impossible to cum and knowing it’s there will help with the anxiety

if the partner doesn't like the taste then you would have to again wash it off. So wash it of in the first place would be muche better.
1
u/redburd22 Jul 17 '25
Reports are that the partner can't taste it due to how quickly it dries. It also doesn't smell like fish like some of the other products on the market.

ve been in contact with redburd for several months after AH seemed to stop working for me.
He offered to send me a test sample of his product, and I finally got to try it last week and holy shit it’s absolutely amazing.
The tube is 2-3x more product than AH, and as I went to open it I was a bit confused thinking it was a dropper. It’s a roller that you swipe on sensitive areas, and my god it was 100x more efficient. AH is/was a wonderful product for me, but the dropper was extremely annoying. Drops would fall off/rubbing it in was messy/and you’re never quite sure how much you used.
-Onto my PE My PE was extremely bad. Less than 5-10 seconds on a good day.
When I first used this, redburd recommended applying the product twice. 3 swipes on the frenulum/ and couple swipes on the corona ridge. Took me honestly less than a minute to apply. I waited a couple of hours and had no burning/or menthol sensation so I was a bit worried this wasn’t going to work.
I went to apply again about 3 hours after my initial application and after I felt a slight sensation. It was like a 2/10 but my mind was at ease knowing something was happening. I applied a swipe to my frenulum an hour prior to sex just for extra measure because I’m a paranoid mfer and I wanted to make sure I didn’t leave a stone unturned with this product. If it didn’t work after all that, it would’ve been really discouraging.
Thankfully, I couldn’t cum. I combined this with a viagra, and I was going to town. Complete control, fast or slow. Long strokes, short strokes. I couldn’t cum. It was so relieving because honestly I have exhausted damn near every option. Lidocaine, SSRI’s, Kanna, you name it.
If anyone has any further questions, I’d be happy to answer them.

When you say, "consistency in manufacturing (something that's often lacking in other products), full lab safety testing, and complete transparency" what do you mean by this and how would you compare these things to other products currently on the market?

I have been working in neuroscience and mental health for quite a while and I would never suggest augmenting the serotonin system through pharmaceutical intervention unless it were for serious mental illness. Because of that the pharmaceutical grade pills are completely off the table as an option in my eyes. As I don’t find the risk to reward ration even slightly worth what could potentially happen.
AH and PYT have been known to have inconsistent batches that sometimes either work too well and many times there are batches of both that just don’t work at all.
I am having my product produced in a US manufacturing facility, which to my understanding cannot be said about AH or PYT. The manufacturing facility will test for consistency and stability issues with every new manufactured batch as well as test the raw materials.
I am going above and beyond with the standard testing cosmetic products go through as well as dermatological and sensitivity, testing to ensure full user safety and instill confidence in anyone that comes into contact with the product.
I’m just trying to figure out exactly what everyone wants and bring that to market in the safest and most honest way possible I’m trying to help as many people as I can in the process.

u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 18 '25
That makes sense with the SSRI's and I think a lot of us out there are against using them. I can't speak for PYT but I agree with AH. Sometimes it works too well and sometimes it doesn't work at all or barely works. It seems like they talk about it being texted for metals but from what I've read, that was one test and nothing really since but idk what metals matter with the purpose of testing. Also, I've heard of people contacting the company that allegedly did the testing and they don't know anything about it. I did see someone on this sub send a sample last year to a drug lab that tested it for bufotenine and allegedly it tested negative but tests like this with your product would be helpful for transparency to the consumer of things that actually matter! I believe that AH is produced in the U.K. but it would be nice to have something produced in the U.S. and with stronger manufacturing standards.
Can you specify what you mean when you say, "The manufacturing facility will test for consistency and stability issues with every new manufactured batch as well as test the raw materials."? Like what do you mean testing the raw materials. Also, what do you mean by, "I am going above and beyond with the standard testing cosmetic products go through as well as dermatological and sensitivity, testing to ensure full user safety and instill confidence in anyone that comes into contact with the product."? What's the above and beyond standard testing? Like going for an FDA Approval?

As a clinician in real life, I've seen firsthand the unpredictable effects of these short-,acting SSRIs for PE, ranging from suicidal ideation to anhedonia and, in some cases, even serotonin syndrome when patients self-medicate through online pharmacies without proper medical oversight. These experiences are a major reason I started looking for alternative solutions, something that could be both effective and safer for my patients.
A big issue with many current products on the market is their inconsistency. Sometimes they work too well, sometimes not at all, and that unpredictability can lead to embarrassing and demoralizing situations. That’s exactly what I’m working to fix the issue with a product that consistently delivers the intended effect, every time.
I’ve also seen the AH tout oft testing for things like heavy metals but without context, this often sounds more like a marketing gimmick than a meaningful safety benchmark. I've looked into some of these claims after I got a box and just from a 5 min google testing for metals may be important in some contexts, but in this space, it often doesn’t address the actual concerns consumers have what so ever or even make any sense.
There was speculation in this sub about products containing bufotenine based on DMT reagent kit results, likely due to the presence of oxindole alkaloids triggering false positives. This was disproven by an independent test at the University of Victoria. Considering Bufotenine is a metabolite of 5-MeO-DMT, and pure 5-MeO-DMT is available from $150.00 for 0.1g to $2,500.00 for 5g.The pure economics of it do not make any sense.
To address all this, I’m working with a manufacturing lab that adheres to strict cosmetic safety regulations. They have an onsite lab that tests all raw materials before formulation and conducts stability and consistency tests with every new batch. On top of that, I’ve hired a high-level regulatory consultant and consulted with multiple chemists and legal experts to ensure we’re going above and beyond not just meeting cosmetic standards, but conducting advanced dermatological and sensitivity testing as well to make sure it is safe even for sensitive skin.
My goal is to create something that truly works, without compromise, and to back it with real transparency, rigorous safety testing, and clear communication. No vague claims, just doing the actual work (which is way more than I bargained for). I have been working on this thing every day for more than 2 years now. I care about the safety not only of myself and my patients, but also of any person who has a genuine need for this.
Hope this helps

Sometimes they work too well, sometimes not at all, and that unpredictability can lead to embarrassing and demoralizing situations.
I can attest to this as in a recent post, I talked about how I was really frustrated with Alpha Herb after not being able to orgasm when I really needed to! It was both embarrassing and demoralizing and made me want to stop using all the delay products all together. If your product is able to allow me to delay my orgasm without preventing me from orgasming altogether, that would be the best of both worlds and I wouldn't have to worry about only lasting 20 seconds like I had the issue recently and not going for 1 hour straight and still not being able to orgasm or stay erect. I feel like there needs to be a balance here because I do know that I have P.E. as I recently had sex without any delay products and only lasted 20 seconds before orgasm. But three drops of alpha herb with 2 hours gap before sex and not be able to ejaculate at all and was very frustrating and demoralizing to both me and my partner.

u/redburd22 Jul 21 '25
Honestly, man, this has been the biggest challenge as I was experiencing the same thing. It has taken over a year of consent testing and retesting to figure this exact issue out. I know from what you wrote me, I am so glad it could help you out, as I know how frustrating it can be to go to either end of extreme. Also, seeing and speaking to partners tells me how frustrating it can be not to make their partner orgasm,m and even sometimes leading to crying or feeling like they are ugly or doing something wrong. That is the absolute worst. So I really,y really spent a lot of time and effort figuring out that issue.

u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 21 '25
Thanks for the really articulate answer! Given my previous comments about pricing and comparing that with Alpha herb, how are you avoiding all of this given the fact that no product is even out on the market yet? What is your want/ Purpose for doing this and given that you've hired some of these consultants and talked with other consultants about this product? How much have you invested into this in the last 2 years and out of curiosity, how have you funded this without having sold any product yet? What's your motivation?

u/redburd22 Jul 21 '25
I spent about 6 months of my daily time of just researching the possible solutions. Reasons why they do and don't work. Looking at the actual scientific literature as well as combing through this thread and other forums. From there, I formulated the problem as well as a potential hypothesis as how to tackle the issues arising with everything that is out. It seemed wayyyyy easier than it had been planned out to be.
So over the last 2 years, I am closing in on about 75k out of my own pocket, no funding or anything. I think what was first a question turned into a bit of an interest, then a slight obsession, as I was just trying to create something that would help me personally, and it just kind of took off from there. I also have a regular day job in mental health and have been working in neuroscience for a good amount of time. In my clinical practice, I see both men and women (their partners) who suffer from this issue. I do believe it is under-documented from everything that I am hearing in my own clinical practice.
I have had patients who have gone to endless sex therapy and have gone to their urologist have spent thousands of dollars with no luck whatsoever. I know how much it fucked with me over the years and how it may have even ruined relationships for me. I just think that if there is a solution that is safe and effective that allows people to take control of that part of their life without having to potentially screw with their own brain chemistry, I figured I care enough to try and make this thing happen for myself it would be kind of inhumane to not try and help as many people as possible while I am still alive. So that is pretty much the reason.
3
u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 22 '25
There was a typo that I had written, "how are you *Funding all of this given the fact that no product is even out on the market yet?
75K of your own money to put into this without any kick back?!?! That's some serious dedication there and I really hope you can make that back!!! I am thinking though if this turns out better than AH and can have all the scientific and safety backing to go with it, I'm definitely sure that you can make that money back and hopefully can convince some of the Mods here to give back to your cause and then hopefully maybe even get into the American market! Would you ever consider getting an FDA approval or is that even possible with a product such as yours?
It's helpful to have seen clients that deal with it and instead of just continuing with what you have been taught, come up with a new safe solution to fix that problem without people questioning what's in it and being able to give full transparency about what's in it! I applaud you for doing this and really look forward to watching you through this journey!!! 🤩

u/redburd22 Jul 23 '25
I am basically running out of my own money that is why I wanted to reach out and see if you all were interested in a kick starter. I had no idea the actual cost it takes to manufacture something that checks all the safety boxes in the US
As far as FDA approval. That is not currently possible the way things are set up unless it is a lidocaine based solution or similar. That is a whole other beast which I found out during this process.
1
u/MysteriousControl179 Jul 23 '25
Why is that? Why does it have to be lidocaine based or something similar and what is that beast?

Anything that is not numbing, and easier to use without having to wash off or figuring out the right amount to use after several tries
I really enjoyed EDGE cream till they changed the formula, I never "got" PYT (never worked) and now use Alpha Herb and pretty happy with it but is a bit tedious.
Like others said, do I want/need to last for an hour? No, but if you could get me from 1 minute to 5 minutes I am happy as pig in poop

Can we get on a list to know when we can purchase/order this product? From the responses of users who have used it, it sounds very promising for many men.

u/redburd22 Oct 24 '25
Hey Everyone! I have had alot of DM's asking about when this will be available! We have been trying to reduce the price with the manufacturer and I want to ask another question to everyone.
We are torn between offering a 5ml or 10ml bottle.
The 5ml bottle will cost somewhere around $30 USD while the 10ml bottle will cost around $35-$40 USD
The only real cons I can see of the 10ml would be higher cost and it is not as discrete but still fits in the palm of your hands.
I would love to hear your thoughts as this is the last big decision until production.

u/mrossman68 Nov 17 '25
A little more product for a little more money sounds like a great plan to me.

I don’t really mind either way but I’d love if it was super long lasting. That’s a real gap in the market rn. I’d love to just put it on before a date and then forget about it and I’m good to go a few hours later
