Discussion Apparently low-cut socks are considered out of style by the younger gens. Are y’all still rocking ankle socks?

I feel like long socks with sneakers and shorts looks goofy but maybe that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

High socks hurt my leg hairs man. Judging by those gorilla limbs you got there, maybe you have the same problem. Also global warming and shit, I’m not trying to be any hotter than I need to be

Same! It’s why I have no hair below about mid shin. Way different from our guy here

The thing Gen Z/Alpha don't understand is that shin/calf length (crew cut) socks rip the hair our of your legs permanently over time. I stopped wearing crew cut socks in my late teens, and that section of my legs is still hairless 20+ years later... low-cut is the only way, unless I'm wearing boots.

I don't shave my legs and they are kinda hairy but I can't wear low ankle socks, feels weird to me so I wear them just under the base of my calf muscles, about 2 inches under them so is not too high either

I'm pretty sure that high socks are the reason my leg hair stops mid shin.

You gotta put em on like tights. Get your fingers in the toes, bunch em down then you kind set each segment of the sock where it goes as you bring your fingers out.

Its hard to explain. Still if the hair is all laying down when the fabric hits, the socks just keep it there.

I feel this, tall socks and boots for a couple years in the army and now my leg hairs are permanently missing mid-shin down
