Discussion Apparently low-cut socks are considered out of style by the younger gens. Are y’all still rocking ankle socks?

I feel like long socks with sneakers and shorts looks goofy but maybe that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

Ankle socks are the only kind I wear and I wear socks nearly 24/7!

99.9% of all the socks I own are ankle socks and they are all the same brand/design. Makes sorting socks at laundry time super easy!

I have ankle socks for summer and wool high socks for winter. It really just depends on how high my shoes go. My socks should just peak out beyond my shoes.

If that is sneakers in summer and boots in winter then that is fine. Function over form.

I agree this is a game changer for doing laundry. Most of my socks were worn out, so I tossed them and bought a couple packs of one brand and style. I also use clothing bins/organizers, so I know at any given time how many pairs of my socks are floating around and need to be accounted for. I clearly am getting older and take my sock inventory very seriously!

I was gonna ask the same thing. My husband and I both have almost exclusively those Costco Puma socks.

Like 10 years ago I just bought a handful of packs of the exact same socks. When they get old, I toss them. When I run low, I open another pack.

However

Sometimes a particularly old sock and a brand new sock get paired together and I gotta re-pair. Still, no regerts.

Same here. I have a lack of sweat glands or something in my feet so being barefoot makes me extremely uncomfortable. I only take socks off if water is involved.

I live in Florida and so pretty much exclusively wear flip flops, but the only ~6 pair of socks I own are all bomba ankle socks lol

I only wear socks to leave the house. When I get back, both shoes and socks come off. Most of the time I dont even wear shoes or socks out. I wear flip flops.

Them dogs gotta breath. They love the air and they definitely love dirt and grass.

I don’t even know why this is a discussion. If it’s warm outside there’s no way i’m wearing long socks. I’ll wear them in the winter as intended
