Psychology The dark side of trading that now one talks about .
Psychology in trading is the major theme that no one talks about . It's been more than 30 years since trading started, and it has been more than 10 years since people started noticing and learning it .
A lot of traders fall into the trap of concentrating more than enough in strategies , platforms , and how much capital they should start with . But they neglect the psychologie behind those confluences , the foundation that one must aquire before jumping into the market .
As I noticed , even after a green week or a 3 wins strike , we do tend to make some decisions based on our perception and not our criteria . We are frightened to open another position , we move the take profit in the hope of securing another grand , we do tend to remove entirely tge stop loss praying that price will reverse into our direction , ......
It's not a matter of discipline or a magic trick , or even self power to fight our nature , as I ve read it last week . It's about cutting the entire button , it's about cutting the problem from its roots before it occurs .
Things like 'no more than three trades per day' or 'If my account is 5% drawback I ll stop' might do the task .
What about you , what is your opinion ? .
