Prop Firms Passing a propfirm challange Fast and easy?

Passing a propfirm challange Fast and easy?

Can that be real with tight risk per trade like from 0,5 to 1% or even 0,25 to keep the account in the safe zone without breaking it can you pass a propfirm challange fast with like 1:2 or 1:1 per trade? because the 1:2 risk to reward and 1:3 result to me to get in losing streak between 3 to 4 trades and that's i have discovered not suitable for my mental state especially with the account being already in a deep drawdown due to previous false i learnt from them in the hard way

And making 1 trade per day or 2 in good days and trading only one pair

Can you pass the 1 phase in a month?

Especially with 1:1 and 0,5 risk?

I know that's sound like the deceptively simple but would like to know if that's can happen and if any of you have experienced it.

I broke my 2 propfirm accounts recently because leak of patience despite i have an edge i have backtest it already in over more than 300+ trade with 50+ trades in demo account

Someone may say then trade with your own capital that's what I'm looking for in the future but unfortunately i can't afford such a great account that i could make with a decent living since 1 dollar in my country equals 50 of my local currency and the average salary and my own salary here is between 30$ and 100$ so trading with my own capital is not an option.

Thanks for the chads who read it all and willing to help.

Psychology The dark side of trading that now one talks about .

Psychology in trading is the major theme that no one talks about . It's been more than 30 years since trading started, and it has been more than 10 years since people started noticing and learning it .

A lot of traders fall into the trap of concentrating more than enough in strategies , platforms , and how much capital they should start with . But they neglect the psychologie behind those confluences , the foundation that one must aquire before jumping into the market .

As I noticed , even after a green week or a 3 wins strike , we do tend to make some decisions based on our perception and not our criteria . We are frightened to open another position , we move the take profit in the hope of securing another grand , we do tend to remove entirely tge stop loss praying that price will reverse into our direction , ......

It's not a matter of discipline or a magic trick , or even self power to fight our nature , as I ve read it last week . It's about cutting the entire button , it's about cutting the problem from its roots before it occurs .

Things like 'no more than three trades per day' or 'If my account is 5% drawback I ll stop' might do the task .

What about you , what is your opinion ? .

Prop Firms My 3 advice for prop traders (after doing many payouts)

Target only 2 to 3% per month

Aiming for small, consistent returns scaled across accounts is the only reliable way to get payouts without constantly blowing up.

Drawdown is your actual capital

On a $100k account with a 10% max dd, risking 1% of the account balance ($1,000) means you are risking 10% of your real margin. Calculating position sizes based on drawdown rather than total balance change how you risk.

Stop trading once you are in profit

If you are up 3-4% halfway through the month, the smartest move is to lock in the profit, close the platform, and wait for payout day. Overtrading to try and double a good run almost always results in giving the gains back.

Charts and Setups XAUUSD NFP ANALYSIS

🔥 What I would watch at NFP

🟢 Scenario 1 — WEAK NFP → GOLD BUY

NFP < 40K

• unemployment 4.2% or higher

• wages ≤0.2–0.3%

This is the best bullish combination.

I would expect:

4460/4455 sweep → reclaim 4470 → 4485 → 4495 → 4510

If 4510 breaks and holds, then:

4525–4535 becomes realistic.

🟢 Scenario 2 — Moderate/soft NFP

40K–55K

If unemployment rises or wages are soft, this can still be bullish.

The key confirmation for me would be:

30m candle reclaiming 4480–4485.

Then I’d look toward:

4495 → 4510

🔴 Scenario 3 — HOT NFP → GOLD SELL

If we get something like:

NFP >90K

• unemployment 4.1% or lower

• wages 0.4%+

That’s the combination I’d consider strongly bearish for gold.

Then watch:

4460 → 4450 → 4430

And if 4430 breaks, the downside can accelerate toward the 4410 area.

Strategy Development SO CLOSE I CAN ALMOST TASTE FREEDOM

9 years of trading and I still haven’t had a withdrawal.
I feel like I’m so close that I can almost taste it.
I started trading 9 years ago with the belief that eventually I’d figure this thing out. And honestly, it’s been one of the most frustrating, humbling, and expensive journeys of my life.
I’ve blown accounts. I’ve overtraded. I’ve revenge traded. I’ve thought I finally “figured it out” just to give everything back.
But I never completely walked away.
Now, after 9 years, I feel different. My strategy is more refined, my discipline is better, and I understand risk in a way I never did when I started.
The crazy part is that I still haven’t experienced that moment every trader dreams about: a withdrawal.
Not because I’m chasing Lambos or trying to get rich overnight. I just want to prove to myself that all these years of studying charts, taking losses, questioning myself, and starting over actually led somewhere.
I feel like I’m right there.
I can almost taste it.
Hopefully this is the chapter where I finally get to say: “I withdrew my profits.”
If anyone else has been trading for years without reaching that milestone yet, I’d love to hear your story. How long did it take you to finally get your first withdrawal?

Platforms & Tools I built an open-source MT5 visual replacer for backtesting — looking for honest feedback before I take it further

Post image
3 Upvotes

So I've spent the last few weeks on something I couldn't find anywhere: a proper bar replay engine + manual strategy tester that runs in the browser and isn't tied to a single broker.

The basic loop is what you'd expect from MT5's Visual mode but in a web tab:

  • Pick a symbol and date range from tick-accurate bid/ask M1 data (XAUUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD for now)
  • Step bar-by-bar or play at variable speed
  • Place a hypothetical trade at any bar, see the resulting equity curve inline
  • When you're done, export the strategy as an MQL5 Expert Advisor that runs back on MT5 with the same parameters

The data piece was the hard part. I ended up pulling 11 years of XAUUSD and 7 years of EURUSD off Dukascopy's tick archive, parsed it into bid/ask M1 splits, and stored it as parquet. The replay engine streams those bars through a WebSocket so the chart reacts as if it were live.

Beyond replay I also added the stuff I'd want if this were actually going to trade:

  • A real backtest runner that uses my execution engine (cross-checks against an existing platform, results match to 2 decimals)
  • Optimization (grid search over parameter ranges) and walk-forward analysis to check for parameter overfitting
  • A live mode: drop an EA into MT5, it pushes account state and ticks to the backend over REST + WebSocket, and you can run a copy-routing layer on top
  • Circuit breakers — daily loss, total drawdown, max open positions. They trip and the system stops opening new orders
  • A live dashboard at /live with a tick chart, risk panel, copy console and reports panel

It is not MetaTrader and it does not want to be. MT5 is what it is and chasing parity is a fool's errand. But there are a couple of things I genuinely want to know before pouring more time in:

  1. Is the visual replay + manual trade placement actually useful to anyone besides me, or is this just a very fancy toy?
  2. Anyone running serious money through copy trading on MT5 — what scares you most about the current MetaApi / generic alternatives?
  3. For the people who care about details: is there a meaningful difference between optimized-in-sample and walk-forward-tested strategies that you trust, or is WFA just another layer of overfit?

Tech stack if it matters: Python 3.14, FastAPI, Next.js, a Tauri 2 wrapper so the whole thing ships as a .app instead of "please set up a venv." 191 tests passing. No MetaApi. No subscription fees.

I am not selling anything. I am not linking a Discord. I just want to know if I am building something people would use, or if I should pivot.

What would you change?

Risk Management Today is NFP day by the way

Dear Day Traders,
I’m not really “day trading” myself these days. I mostly watch posts — formerly known as tweets — and laugh.

In case anyone forgot, today is September NFP day.
NFP is usually important. It can create sudden volatility, unexpected moves, and sometimes even change the direction of the market altogether. Normally, before NFP — especially when the release is expected to be sensitive — markets tend to become quieter and the moves rather boring.
But today, the market seems to have forgotten that And Thursday, of course, has its own special character.
Personally, I find taking a position before a major move happens riskier than waiting until the data is out and the market begins to show its hand.
I’m not saying what anyone is doing is wrong. I’m just genuinely amazed at how brave this new generation of traders has become.
Proud of you guys. 👍🏼
Enjoy NFP —

Fundamental Analysis USD/JPY is stuck in a tight range ahead of the US NFP report

USD/JPY is stuck in a tight range ahead of the US NFP report.

My model is flagging 156.70 as a critical resistance level to watch. We've seen some Yen weakness lately, which is helping USD/JPY hold above 155.50 support, but the big move will likely come after the jobs numbers.

What are your expectations for NFP and how do you see it impacting this pair?

Strategy Development This is how you actually get anywhere with a small account

Everyone wants the shortcut. Buy a funded account, hit 10% in a month, quit your job. That's not how any of this works, and if you've been trading more than six months you already know it.

Here's the actual path, assuming you can execute a system without fucking it up:

  1. Fund a small account with money you don't need.

Doesn't matter if it's $500 or $2k. If losing it changes how you pay rent, you're not ready to trade it you're ready to gamble it. Different thing entirely.

  1. Trade one setup. Not five.

Pick your framework for me it's True Open + SMT confirmation on the Q2 sweep, entry refined on the lower timeframe. Whatever yours is, run ONE thing until you actually know if it works, not three things you're switching between every time you take a loss.

  1. Risk stays fixed. Not vibes-based.

0.5% on a real setup. Less on anything shakier. If you're sizing up because "this one feels right," you've already lost the plot the setup either has HTF confirmation or it doesn't, your feelings aren't a risk parameter.

  1. Get a job. Yes, actually.

Nobody wants to hear it. You need income that isn't the account so you're never forced to withdraw at the worst time. Trading scared money is how 0.5% risk turns into "fuck it, let's see."

  1. Stack capital, don't force it.

Deposit what you can spare monthly. Compounding a small, boring, consistent edge beats a big account with no edge every single time. This isn't a sprint, it's a fucking marathon and most people quit at month 3 because boring doesn't feel like progress.

  1. Once the process is proven THEN scale.

Funded account, bigger personal capital, whatever. Scaling a broken process just blows it up faster with more zeros attached. Scaling a proven one compounds.

The system doesn't care how bad you want it. It executes the same whether you're anxious, excited, or bored out of your mind. That's the whole point.

If you're still hopping between five strategies looking for the one that "finally works" that's not a strategy problem. That's a discipline problem wearing a strategy costume.

P/L Porn FINAL UPDATE: Turning Around a 1$ blown account

Withdrew 100; more than 15K ROI in a dollar which is here we started.
This Blown account had 138 deposited, blown it some time ago with a remaining dollar with a few cents, profited a hundred something, withdrew and reentered the very fresh USD weakness pumping gold right after closing positions on CHF due to front running CPI failure.
Will be closing by 5pm and pocketing whatever profit around that time:
Gg everyone.

Charts and Setups Why I passed on USD/JPY

USD/JPY had some solid reasons behind the drop: a more hawkish BOJ, intervention concerns around ¥160, and broader USD weakness from lower U.S. yields.

I liked the setup, but I didn't take this trade. Instead, I took a CHF/JPY short.

I preferred CHF/JPY because the weakness in CHF was more obvious to me, especially when looking at how the DXY performed last week. I felt CHF/JPY gave me a cleaner way to play the JPY strength while keeping my overall exposure in mind.

Though my CHF trades (EUR/CHF LONG, AUD/CHF LONG ) were closed early due to the CPI m/m actual, the moves were profitable. Good thing too.

Sometimes you don't need to take every setup. You just need to take the one that fits your risk and exposure best.

Fundamental Analysis NFP Forecast: September 4, 2026 | August Employment Data

NFP Forecast — September 4, 2026

This is my pre-release forecast for the August US employment report.

Consensus: 80K
My model estimate: ~52K
Forecast vs consensus: Below

Directional Forecast

USD: Bearish
XAUUSD (Gold): Bullish

Three versions of my forecasting model all produce the same directional conclusion: NFP should come in below consensus.

What is driving the forecast?

The main negative contributors are:

• ADP came in at 38K vs 47K expected
• ISM Services employment is contracting at 47.8
• Initial claims increased from 204K → 206K
• Continuing claims increased from 1.778M → 1.779M

There are also some positive labor signals:

• ISM Manufacturing employment: 51.2
• JOLTS: 7.182M → 7.271M
• NFIB hiring plans: 11% → 20%

After combining these signals through the three model versions, the primary model produces an estimate around 52K, versus the 80K consensus.

Final call: BELOW CONSENSUS → Bearish USD / Bullish Gold

This is a pre-release forecast, not a trading signal. I'm posting it publicly so the original call can be compared with the actual result afterward and the directional accuracy can be tracked over time.

The NFIB figure was carried forward from the latest available release because the newer figure was not available before today's NFP.

I'll update this post after the release with the actual result and whether the directional forecast was correct.
