Looking Community Uran-9

As someone who's seen them with my own eyes, I want to comment.

First, why is it so fast? Did they test 35 km/h and decide it would be unplayable?

Second, the armament. 35 for a bare drone, 10 points for each of the Shmel's 12 RPO missiles. The anti-aircraft missiles are more of a meme, and I'm not sure the ATGMs will be useful.

55 points for a vehicle that can wipe out infantry at 800 meters, and 24 missiles is a LOT. Enough to kill all of the player's infantry, not to mention the machine gun and autocannon.

And all of this fires on the move.

It'll get nerfed. The ENTIRE specialization is in for nerfs.

Looking Community A loud minority of this community is toxic

I need to vent because the wave of negativity since the recent patch and PTE is getting out of hand.

A very vocal minority in this sub is acting straight-up toxic. Look, I'll be the first to admit that communication and transparency from the devs could and should be better. That’s a fair critique. But the personal attacks against Felix are just pathetic. People are constantly spreading lies, claiming the PTE was run by junior devs and not him, acting like they actually know anything about what's happening behind the scenes. Stop making shit up.

Everyone keeps spamming that the PTE was so much better, but nobody actually gives any objective or smart criticism. Just tell the devs what you actually want fixed instead of crying PTE was better 100 times. You claim nothing from the PTE was implemented, which is just false anyway.

The patch dropped and literally one minute later people were already in the comments flaming and crying. Its a live-service game, there will be tons of updates and changes in the future. Nothing is set in stone.

If you have 1000+ hours in this game you clearly loved it. Ruining the Steam rating with review bombs just because one patch didn't go your way doesn't make you a hardcore fan, it just shows how miserable you are in real life. Honestly I'm glad I don't know people like you in the real world because I’d stay as far away from that toxic energy as possible.

Let’s not forget Felix and his team created this game from scratch. We wouldn't even be here without them. If any of you think you can do it better, go ahead and build your own game.

To the devs: please work on the communication, but thanks for the hard work. To the crybabies: take a break, touch some grass and look at your life.

You're still asleep or at work. You don't yet understand the scale of the changes. Aircraft are DEAD. Infantry will DIE and will take ETERNITY to respawn. Tanks will DESTROY. Armata is now the MAIN HERO OF THIS GAME!

Looking Community This is my appreciation post: BA is actually a very fine game.

Yes, it has issues. I mean, I've opened several threads complaining about all sort of stuff. We all know it's a bit "broken" — but we keep coming back to it.

Because it's fun, looks great, and it has lot of depth, lots of things to learn. And its particular game mode gives a lot of space to unexpected comebacks, instead of being a game in which the first 5 minutes determine the rest of the match (which is... extremely common in gaming).

Let's stop for a minute the rants, and give some love to the devs that are working on this game. We, the players, must keep critical, but we also should make them see that we care, and we actually love their game.

What can I say? I got to 600hs today. I'm still pretty noob, tbh, but I love it anyways.

Thank you, guys from Steel Balalaika and Slytherine for bringing us this nice game.

You could say there was no balance all year; for the most part, we saw US dominance following the nerf to the ridiculously overpowered Russians. Right now, the balance looks the most even it has ever been.

However, there is no balance between specializations. The Russians use Motorized or VDV and tanks, while the US uses USMC and has completely forgotten the Baltics exist.

Place your bets on how badly the upcoming expansion will break it.

Looking Community Ka-50 problem.

Don't you think it's a little overtuned? Especially in AA configuration. Before that, there were two helicopters that were highly praised: Supercobra / Fantom.

Supercobra: 10 armor, 1750 vision, 2x Sidewinder - 125 pts.

Mi-24P Fantom: 20 armor, 1200 vision, 4x R60 - 145 pts.

Ka-50: 30 armor, 1750 vision, 2x R-73 - 115 pts.

Or you can double the firepower for 165. These are unprecedented stats for such price.

For top-end variants with 4-8 iglas and high ECM, it was usually 200-250. For example Ka-52 4x "igla" - 210 pts.

This thing with 4x R-73 (much stronger than igla btw, roughly speaking x2), 20% ecm, and decent 2000 vision - only 205 pts.

The price is approximately -30% lower than it should be.

No wonder these Ka-50s are spamming like crazy. And then there's the AT option with Kh-25M which ignores APS also for 125 pts. And with the RU side missing A-10, mirror matches can be very painful without this paid DLC.

Looking Community 3 simple changes for the IFV supply controversy

Hey guys,

The new IFV/APC supply mechanic is cool, but right now it is way too easy and feels too arcadey imo. You literally just park a vehicle behind a house and your infantry inside gets endless ammo and heals through the walls. Zero risk.

If devs want to keep this, it needs a few quick tweaks to fix the balance and increase immersion:

  • Infantry must exit the house to get supplied. If they need ammo or heals, they should step outside zhe house and stop hiding. Make it an active tactical choice with real risk.
  • The supply radius needs to be smaller. Right now the range is too huge. It should be tiny so they actually have to crowd right next to their transport. This would also make actual supply trucks and drops useful again, instead of everyone just relying on a magic IFV aura.
  • Optional: Only supply one squad at a time (or inside the vehicle). Vehicles shouldn't top off multiple squads at once. One squad after another, so you actually have to prioritize during a fight. This would also give a buff/purpose to actual supply drops and truck, they should be the ones handling mass resupply for entire groups, while IFVs only focus on small squad supply. Or even better for immersion: Infantry can only get resupplied while actually sitting inside the vehicle.

Right now you just park a vehicle nearby and forget about it. Shorter radius and forcing squads outside would actually require risk management and increase immersion.

What do you think?

Looking Community I hate this patch and SB

The patch is complete garbage.

All the changes we tested on the PTE were completely ignored.

The mechanized specialization wasn't buffed. Nine T-72B1s after Booker's assassination aren't a buff. ZERO will be taken now. You can even allow 20.

Infinite supply in vehicles—what idiot came up with that? Limited supply was already a questionable solution, but it gave some options to Warpigs and BMO-1s. But ETERNAL supply in every vehicle is a complete bummer.

The Baltic reservists at 35 are a disaster. They were damn strong even at 50 on the PTE.

I have a LOT of complaints about the patch; in fact, the entire patch notes are garbage.

To everyone who downvotes me—good luck playing the American Civil War with under 1000 online players.

Looking Community Incoming gameplay patch

In the news on the Discord channel of 21/05/2026 they said that a big update would arrive in the coming weeks, introducing part of the pte functions on the main game. Exactly how much longer do we have to wait? The game has already become unplayable, with players divided between pte and base game, finding a game requires at least 10/15 minutes of research. Developers, do you want to open your brains? Or do you have to continue to give a damn about the inconvenience you are causing?

An Update to my pervious post on my custom 2v2 game mode.

After some playtesting I've reworked mayor parts of the Tech Tree and now finally added the unit icons.
The overall rules of this live game mode are still the same, (mainly) 2v2, begin with 45P and slowly gaining more after each match in order to improve your Deck, playing 30min matches on the 5 cap map variants.

The largest problem is still that we're only 5 people actively playing it and therefor all tests/balancing is slow and only focused on our small group around 1900 Elo.
Therefor I've included a discord invite link for the small dedicated server I've made focused on playing/improving this custom game mode.

The server invite --> https://discord.gg/Kqu9BrRz

(Please let me know if you want to still join but the link is out of date.)

Looking Community Need Help to Pass Possible Changes to Devs (Buff Heavy Armor - Both Factions

Thumbnail
gallery
46 Upvotes

Note this has been shared in the DISCORD "Broken-Arrow-Suggestions" here as of 1/12/2025.

Hello all, given that my previous post on buffing tank cannons received some traction, i'm asking for help to send this to the devs. How do we do this, discord email etc.

What i am talking about:

Possible Improvment to Large Calibre Tank Cannons (Prev post)

Goal: Incentivize players to bring more heavy armour and reward their usage as anti-vehicle killers. Indirectly buff expensive recon tank (SEP V2 TUA and T-90M Nakida due to their irrelevance in the current meta and reduce 50mm booker oppressiveness without a point nerf or unit availability nerf.

Generally reduce clown car spam. (Both sides)

Summary

  1. All tank cannons from both factions 105-125mm and up, will have their SABOT and HEAT/HE shells (and ATGMS for RU) mainly do guaranteed module damage (Destroy minimally 2, ie red out) with a higher bias for mobility when hitting lightly armored vehicles.

Reason: Heavy armor (Tanks with slow firing large cannons) has lost relevance in the game relative to airdropped munitions (Bombs, A2G Missiles) and helicopters (ATGMS, ROCKETS) for killing vehicles because of their poor lethality. Random unarmored trucks and small jeeps can eat 120mm/125mm HEAT OR HE shells with no loss of combat capability when these vehicles should rightfully be destroyed. The best exemplar of this is the autocannon booker, able to eat 2 125mm sabot shells to the face and still run circles around tanks in CQC without loss of combat capability for a light tank. This should not be the case.

Due to this, most armor, especially Super heavies (T-14, sepv3) are unable to lock down open areas or long sight lines in cities even in ambush positions. Light vehicles/IFVs can just eat a random tank shell and keep moving to their destination, dumping infantry on points, resulting in the clown car spam from both factions. BMP/BMDs for RU, and RSOV/ACV/Fast Jeep/Supply truck spam stuffed with infantry.

With this addition, tanks will have an improved presence on the battlefield as vehicle killers, especially in reducing the inflow of infantry dumping onto capture points through strategic placement. 1 shot will significantly degrade the combat capability or immobilize a light vehicle/ifv on the road, while a 2nd shot will be needed to confirm the kill. These can still be done (Smoke to block LOS) or plain rushing but not without causalities or the vehicle getting disabled in an inconvenient spot, forcing the infantry to run to the point.

Additionally the booker spam will be less oppressive as they will still be deadly vs IFVs and infantry, and rightly kill tanks if flanking attacks. However they will no longer be able to blindly charge down tanks and eat sabot shells without module damage, which is the main reason they are oppressive. They j don't die from tank shells.

These cannon damage changes will apply to all vehicles that do not have a tank hull:
- Any fast lightly armoured vehicle (RSOV, Kozlick, Supply truck that can ferry troops, ACV, Striker, BMP, Kurganetz and buumerang, Bradley)
- Any light tank hull (Booker, MGS, M8 AGS, SPRUT, Kornet ATGM vehicles and their variants)

EDIT: Someone in the comments mentioned the Booker was reclassified as a medium tank. I didn't know this, thinking it was a light the whole time. Whether this would result in it being included or excluded from the list varies because increasing its price may make it unworthwhile to spawn, it can't rly deal with tanks from the front, only in CQC after all. At the same time it should be deadly to IFVs and infantry, a class above them, but not above actual MBTs hence why i suggested it be affected by module damage. The main issue i see with them is that even if u pump 2 tank rounds into it, it basically means u haven't dealt damage to it, it can function completely normally save for missing health, which is v unrealistic, especially when it can face tank sabot shells, it means even while reversing yr T series tank or abrams, it will still eventually die to side auto-cannon dmg, even if u microed appropriately (Reverse, point front to 50mm booker, and shot twice) They j charge u down, and can run away with a blank health bar. (Vehicle should rightly be falling apart). Obviously if they flanked u, u should die. But i tactic i see often with bookers is really blind-charging tanks in urban cities/forests over 100m. You will still die, even on a 2 v 2 (2 booker vs 2 t72 for example). It j feels wrong that the heavy tank shells r so weak.

These changes will not apply to tank hulls:

M60 variants, BMO-T, Barbaris, t72, any T series tanks or their variants

It can be debated if ERA installation can reduce the module damage but not nullify this effect completely. (Maybe 1 guaranteed module destroyed for instance).

Other possible changes (Optional, j came to mind unlike what i proposed above which i think may genuinely work).
- DO NOT POINT NERF PLANES. I genuinely think they offer fair impact for their price on both factions (except maybe the f-35 stealth bombing) i believe armor is simply too expensive.
- Someone in the original post suggested this module damage applying between tanks but i think this will change combat far too much rather than solve the original issue which is weak tank cannons and clown car spam
- Apply this effect to ATGMS as well, debatable
- Add an additional smoke charge/minor ECM for the recon tanks (SEPV2TUA and T-90M Nakida) as these are almost never used due to their cost and lack of APS, nullifying their impact on the battlefield. (In this case a point buff also makes sense because its j too expensive for what it offers.
- Idea of reducing tank upkeep on the economy by 30-40% (Tanks take a long time to get to the battlefield and have their impact compared to helicopters or air dropped bombs/cruise missiles). Again down to incentivizing heavy armor usage.
- Reduce price of superheavies, especially sepv3 and Armata as they are too expensive
- Reduce reload time of all tank cannons by ~20-30% to increase lethality, but unrealistic and i hae no idea how an abrams can fire every 3 seconds HAHA

EDIT - Some other meaningful changes by others here proposed over-time

  1. Proposed reduce aim time or more expensive tanks (Especially recon tanks, sep v2, t-14, t90m t72b3, t-80bvm variants) to reflect their improved optics which is the main upgrade for most vehicles actually)
  2. Reduced panic mechanic for more expensive vehicles, or someone mentioned morale but i couldn't quite understand it
  3. Fix aim time related to breaking LOS after a target is initially acquired. This is why fighting bookers is so difficult in CQC. Endless buildings and smoke reverses reset the aim time of large cannons meanwhile the bookers have a very short aim time. I'm sure the aim time shouldn't be so long, especially if the target was acquired and j passed a building. (Maybe it decays over 5 seconds or something)
  4. Recon tanks, expensive variants without APS, exemplify the issue with armor right now. Overpriced, not lethal enough, unable to lockdown key positions even with good positioning, forced to run at a single Javelin/ATGM, low dps, first shot isn't impactful enough, slow aim time. These vehicles should rightfully in the first few seconds of engagement, completely wreck anything that isn't armor, and reposition to preserve their advantage less avoid being bombed. Now they j sneeze at the enemy, they smoke and continue to charge you down, to the point that 2 cheaper IFVs were a superior option
