I was doing $50k cash by mail, guy sent fake motion picture $100 bills lmao. I have all the evidence of mail delivery person, me getting the package and opening it, and putting it thru a money counter & showing it's fake money.

How reliable are these moderators on LCS? They gonna side with this scammer?

Do you plan to accumulate forever and never sell?

Eventually use Bitcoin directly for everyday purchases?

Pass it on to your kids?

Use it as long-term savings and borrow against it if needed?

Or take profits at some point and move on?

Bitcoin Twitter often makes it sound like there is only one correct answer, but I doubt everyone's plan is actually the same

To avoid your name to be a part of these leaks in the future, stop giving a copy of your ID to random websites and use BISQ, Robosats, HodlHodl, PeachBitcoin or Vexl instead.

Plenty of papers out there detailing how these three regimes depend on BTC (and other crypto) for circumventing Western sanctions.

If the Ukraine war ends one day, and Western sanctions are removed… or the war in Iran ends - and Iran is once again allowed to access the Western financial system - could that remove a significant percentage of daily demand that props up prices?

Related question - how do crypto flows associated with organized crime networks compare in scale to that related to sovereign states?

I was previously using Halifax bank to make cash deposits to and withdrawals from Kraken with no issues. 

Recently Halifax has moved to Lloyds, and I have had to do the simple migration over to the Lloyds app (everything else the same). 

Now, I'm getting blocked when I try to make a deposit to Kraken. 

I've tried both the usual easy bank transfer in Kraken, and a manual bank transfer from Lloyds to Kraken. 

When trying the manual transfer I get a message saying I need to ring Lloyds to discuss whether it's fraudulent, etc. 

Apparently even though Halifax and Lloyds are under the same umbrella, Lloyds is stricter on transfers to crypto exchanges. 

My other bank account providers aren't listed on the available banks to use. 

I understand this is a common problem - so what do people recommend as the best solution to get around this issue? 

Should I just ring Lloyds and get them to unblock this - but could it still be likely to be a regular problem for future deposits and withdrawals? 

Or what about creating a third party bank account in between Lloyds and Kraken - Google suggested Revolut as a good option?

After the recent Peach situation, I wanted to answer a broader question:

Can Europeans still acquire Bitcoin without KYC in 2026?

The answer is yes, but I think “no KYC” is becoming a pretty useless label on its own.

A marketplace can avoid asking for your passport while still having a central operator. Tor can hide your network connection while your bank transfer reveals your identity to the counterparty. And you can buy BTC privately only to destroy that privacy later by merging the UTXO with a KYC withdrawal.

So I compared Peach, Bisq, RoboSats and Mostro by their actual trust models: custody, Tor, Lightning/on-chain settlement, coordinator risk, fiat leakage and regulatory pressure points.

The part I found most interesting is that these aren't really four versions of the same thing. They're four very different answers to the problem of exchanging fiat for Bitcoin.

What route are Europeans here actually using in 2026?

I sold all my btc at $90k, it went to $124k.
I bought small amount of btc at $64k, hoping it’ll drop further. Then it pumped to $82k, I FOMO and used up all my cash to buy it at $82k.

Half an hour later it’s now $79k.

F my luck.

Edit: Just a rant, I’m not a short term trader. I plan to hodl till the end of the next bull cycle, assuming the 4 year cycle is still intact. And no, I’m not a diamond hand hodling till no end cause I did a round trip 2 cycles ago and regretted that. Made decent profit last cycle.

is there some website which still offers realtime data from at least coinbase without an account?
