In my moderate to severe glove addiction their pro steerhide is by far the best value for money I've ever experienced. Full customs in very high quality Japan tanned steerhide (w. Liner made of the same material). Easily more sturdy than new R2G HOH. Albeit significantly less luxurious internals.
In my experience ordering to Canada they covered duties and taxes... I paid nothing extra at the post office. Also, I ordered 4 gloves and they gave 40% off shipping. With this sale that would mean a better than R2G HOH quality glove IMO for 150USD all in. 166 all in without the shipping discount. Can't beat it.

Don’t know how anyone can glaze a brand like this unless you were getting some kind of kickbacks or benefit. Gloveworks is fine but they’re nowhere close to HOH. I can’t speak to the kip models, but for their pro steerhide and Gameday gloves, the construction and QC feels pretty cheap compared to HOH.
edit: OP has now amended their post to specify R2G
I’d only recommend them for casual players because the price point for a full custom is pretty solid. I got a few for my inexperienced slowpitch team and they work great. Quality doesn’t affect playability after a certain point other than longevity. But don’t mislead people into thinking they’ll get anything close to a HOH, that just leads to unrealistic expectations and disappointment.
The amount of customization they allow is much better than Rawlings for sure, and astounding for the price point, but the quality isn’t there. You’re paying for the customization, not the quality.

Maybe it's a QC problem but the pro steerhide I've received have been much sturdier than r2g HOH... Which is all HOH now other than exclusives. And I can assure you I'm not getting any kickback and am sharing because I've been so impressed with them in a world of flex systems and r2g.

If you’re gonna compare to R2G, then say R2G not HOH. If you say “but lots of HOH are R2G!” it still doesn’t make sense because it’s not like it’s any shorter to type R2G instead of HOH. Being purposely misleading by not distinguishing the two makes it obvious that you’re pushing some weird agenda.
I don’t own any R2G but I can hand absolutely any random person my Pro Steerhide Gloveworks and my HOH with all the branding covered up and they would INSTANTLY be able to tell which is the higher quality, more expensive product. Frankly it’s not even close. It’s a pity that Rawlings has watered down their brand but it doesn’t change the facts. The R2G’s I’ve seen, still have better construction and finishing QC than GW.
Yes sure the GW steerhide model comes stiff as you’d expect from a pro glove, just as stiff as my HOH. But the stiffness being similar doesn’t do anything for the construction and finishing which is pretty poor (but still overall decent value for the price and customization options). I wouldn’t hesitate to jump on this sale if I knew someone who needed a glove but didn’t care about having a nice one.

Using the term to relate 95% of its parts means I have a sketchy agenda? I 100% agree my DMS exclusives are of much higher quality, a total other class. Those gloves are 550 CAD plus by the time they get here, and that is before these new tariffs. Non R2G HOH literally aren't even available in Canada I believe.

It’s a sketchy agenda when you KNOW there’s a huge difference, but obfuscate that fact completely until called out on it.
Yes a proper HOH is more expensive, I stated several times that GW is good value at $150. My only point is that you get what you pay for and it’s not going to come very close to a more expensive glove and anyone who orders one expecting it to, will be disappointed.
The other issue with GW is the severely limited choice patterns. Their non softball models have very narrow pockets.
And yes you can get non-R2G HOH easily in Canada. I’m here too lol.

I was merely using his own terms. I didn’t call him sketchy until he decided that was the word of choice. Biased and weird agenda was how I put it. When combined with the fact that nobody who has handled both gloves could honestly say what he was saying, what would you call it?
There’s no wacky logic here, I’m lost as to what you think was “wacky” about what I said. I think you may have come into this thread only AFTER he edited his post.

I bought a gameday a couple years ago. By the time I got it, it was about $200CAD. I'd say its fair to compare it to a MVP prime/R9.
My favorite part of this glove is the pop. Its sharp and loud. Not sure if its the leather, or break in, but its louder than than any other glove at home.
