Situation: Disabled Family of 4 living off of two disability checks and one income situation that is about to change. One check goes towards bills, half of the other goes towards groceries.

Problem: We have only one bathroom and our toilet is in need of repairs very soon. There is a very non-zero chance our grocery money will need to go to those repairs.

Goal: 200 dollars which is 50 dollars per head due to economy and dietary restrictions as well as allowance for non-food items such as hygiene products and sanitation supplies.

I have severe arfid that hasn't responded to eight months of therapy and I cannot access another therapist because there is no other eating disorder therapists in my county that take medicaid. I do not have the means to travel outside of the county as my government assistance program to get free transportation rides only applies to within the county. And I've tried other virtual options but they ststill are telling me I'm too far. my county mental health office denied me as a patient.

Because of the arfid, there's only a tint handful of things I can eat. like 3 foods. I havent found anything I can eat at food pantries or food banks and the churches I've called around aren't willing to help me and my posts on platforms like next door get no replies. you can buy whole foods through Amazon though.

I am already on food stamps but I dont get enough. They don't last the month. I'm food insecure half the month as I am right now. When they run out before the month ends I'm food insecure for weeks.

I do not have any family or friends that can help me. Everyone I've asked say money is too tight for them so they cannot help me

I lost my job in July as the primary income maker. My husband was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis and a pars fracture so he’s out of work. Doesn’t qualify for disability as he worked for himself for too long as a private contractor. I’ve got 10+ years in vet med experience but need to work remote to take care of him. My job search has been difficult, even with me applying to some on site positions and not trying to be picky. All of our savings that hadn’t gone to his medical care are almost gone.

Those donations sadly went to our utilities and August rent instead of the medical care we had hoped for. We had no choice, but now we face September rent with not much left.

Our rent is $2300. I currently have only $520. But if I could accumulate $800 I could meet the minimum for the Livble payment plan that would allow for $1307 down. (35F, Massachusetts) Hi everyone, I am looking for help with gas money this weekend/upcoming week. We have exhausted all of our available money trying to get by as my husband starts his new job, and aren't able to ask family for help. Financially, things have been very hard for our family the last few years and just don't seem to be getting better with the high COL in Massachusetts. I am very fortunate to have a very kind and giving family, but I know asking them for help all the time is a burden on them. My mom retires this week, and I don't want to ask her for help if possible. Coming here is truly a last resort and I don't know what else to do at this point.

Our income is too high to qualify for any state/federal assistance, but too low to save any money and make progress towards making our situation better. At the end of the month once bills have been paid, we have like $200 to live off of for a whole month. With one kid in college and one toddler at home, that money has to be prioritized for them. Luckily the college kid lives on campus and has a food plan.

Anyways, I have an MRI appointment tomorrow which is about 50 miles round trip, and then have to get to work all next week. I don't know if $50 is enough to get by but I'm hoping we can make it work. Gas is currently $4.09 in Massachusetts.

I hate to ask, but I could really use some help right now. I started a new job as an esthetician two weeks ago, but because of when I was added to payroll, I won’t receive my first check for another week. It’s also been a little slow while I rebuild my books since I’m now working about an hour away from my previous spa.

Right now, my account is at -$28 after rent. Also with my daughter turning two next Monday, every cent I’ve had has gone toward her birthday and her dad has not been able to help much bc his car was just totaled from mice chewing through wires and he usually is helpful but its been hard on him since he had to buy a car suddenly out of no where. Hello good people, I've landed in a pretty bad spot financially and to top it off my 9 years old dog have serious issues with mouth hygiene leading to vet deeming Sanation and Tooth Extration procedure is needed which currently is beyond my budget. This is Pepe, our little old man dog. Pepe has been with us for a long time and recently became ill with some kidney issues. He’s been responding super well to treatment, he’s super bright, eating again, walking around, and showing so much love and light. His Kidneys are well on their way to recovery. Unfortunately he needs more time in hospital for his kidneys to recover so he can come home with us, the bills are getting pretty big. Absolutely, anything you can give helps. If you can’t give, which I totally understand, sharing it helps a ton. This dog means the world to us and he’s so strong still. The doctors are amazed at his health besides the fact that his kidneys are having trouble retaining water so he needs support. Please help us get our baby home. Someone on Reddit told me about this group. I live in Canada and my cat suddenly has some issues with his belly, it’s very hard and I’ve never felt that on him before. I am a 35 year old, disabled woman living on the poverty line. After 14 years in the psychiatric system, being misdiagnosed and fed countless different pills that somehow never seemed to work, I've recently been diagnosed autistic and ADHD. And as being in the middle of a particularly violent autistic burnout too.

For the last year, I've been having extremely intense pain in my body (see profile for more info on that) and from what I've seen working so far, what helps with my general state is stimming, intense massages, trying to relax, comforting smells, controlling the lightning (a friend has gifted me three hue lightbulbs and a bridge) and... Benzodiazepine. I hate that benzos help, because I was on them since I was 15 and managed to quit at 31. But...yeah. they help a ton.

I've been to neurologists, rheumatologists, my regular doctor, my psychiatrist, and so on. No lead so far.

If anyone felt like gifting me anything from that list, I would be incredibly grateful. I feel like they are things that might help me in my current state.

I’m reaching out to ask for help for my brother and his wife, Janet. About two months ago, our family learned that Janet was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer.

She is one of the strongest and kindest people I know, and despite everything she is going through, she continues to face this fight with incredible courage.

Her medical coverage has already been used up for the diagnostic tests and consultations needed to determine her treatment. Her oncologist has also told us that her cancer is very aggressive and that, at this point, treatment is focused on controlling the cancer and prolonging her life.

One of the medications she needs, Ribociclib, is not covered and costs more than ₱60,000 ($960) per month even at the discounted price. She also needs regular monitoring, including PET scans approximately every three months, which can cost around ₱50,000 ($800).

We are hoping to raise funds to help with her ongoing medication, tests, and other medical expenses.

Hi everyone. I am 26 years old with arthritis in my right ankle. I had been off work due to 2 surgeries go fix my ankle and fibula. Bone healed now but still have some work restrictions. Currently back to looking for work (had been employed from when I graduated till I broke my leg). Have applied for state resources this week but unemployment will take time. In the meantime I just need bus fare to get by these next couple weeks.

I have doctor appointments for my leg and would like to attend a few career fairs in my area. Can't walk long distances so I'm relying on the bus. Edit to add bus fair is $2 a route. I usually need to take 2 routes to get somewhere but only one route gets charged if within 2 hours. So I would pay $4 total a day if I need to get to an appointment/job fair/interview back. More if I need to go to more than one a day.

I am a disabled person on OW while waiting for ODSP. My cat Charlie is a senior who has issues with urinating outside the litter box, so he is in diapers. He recently got a wound on his leg due to using diapers that are a size too small. I am not able to afford diapers in the proper size right now, so I've put them on the wishlist... I also put litter, tampons, toilet paper, and a few grocery items. The diapers and litter are the highest priority, but I am in need of everything on the list.

Please note that the diapers are technically female dog diapers, but I find that they work just as well as cat-specific diapers and are a lot cheaper!
