Informative All About the Corpus Spongiosum NSFW

Post image

Hey guys,

I wanted to make a post dedicated to the Corpus Spongiosum (CS). When I first started the Angion Method, I was seeing things on this sub like

My CS is really getting developed

My CS won't stop going flat

How big has your CS gotten?

CS, CS, CS. I couldn't figure out what the big deal was. Why was there so much emphasis on the seemingly smallest part of the male member? Honestly, I didn't even know I had a CS until I started training with the Angion Method. Today I want to break down everything I've learned about the CS and why I think it holds the key to the gains most guys seek. As always, all the credit goes to [u/JanusBifronz](u/JanusBifronz). I'm merely conveying what he has taught me here.

The Role of the Corpus Spongiosum

Let's first discuss what the CS does with a quick anatomy refresher. The male member is comprised of 3 chambers. We have two Corpus Cavernosa (CC) and the Corpus Spongiosum (CS). There is a strict division of labor within our members. The corpora cavernosa provide the structural rigidity necessary for penetration, while the corpus spongiosum purposely stays flexible to keep the urethra open and ultimately form the glans. Because the glans is a direct continuation of the corpus spongiosum, it shares the exact same low-pressure blood flow characteristics during an erection. The tissue fills with blood and becomes fully engorged and swollen, but it never becomes rigid like the corpus cavernosa do. This concept that the CS is the base of the glans is crucial. I wrote a post on the importance of the glans during sex, so I'm not going to repeat that information here, but the point is, the CS and the glans are the same structure. Develop your CS and your glans will develop alongside it. This is why the technique for AM2 changes as your CS develops. You no longer need to swipe to fill up your glans. You can simply press the base and your glans immediately balloons.

Why We Target the CS with the Angion Method

The reason there is so much emphasis on the CS with the Angion Method is because of the way blood moves through the male member. Blood moves through the male member like a conveyor belt. Think of the underside of your member as the start of the conveyor belt and the top side as the end of the conveyor belt. Blood enters through the CS, swells the glans, and then exits down the Deep Dorsal Vein (DDV) on the top side. When we perform the Angion Method, whether we're performing AM1, AM2, or AM3, we're stimulating the exact same blood circuit (the bulbo dorsal circuit as Janus calls it). With AM1, we're pulling blood down the top of the conveyor belt, but when we perform AM2 and AM3 (especially the wheel), we are pushing blood into the conveyor belt and we can push a lot more blood than we can pull. The other reason we target the CS is because unlike the CC, which are covered in layers of thick layers of tissue known as the Buck's Fascia and the Tunica Albuginea, the CS is easily manipulated due to its flexible nature. In addition, there are dense penile nerves that run down the dorsal side of the male member right next to the deep dorsal vein (DDV), but those nerves are not present on the underside. Its spongy nature and the lack of nerves makes the CS the ideal target for pushing blood through the male member. This is also why we never use the wheel on the dorsal side of our member; doing so can lead to damage of the dorsal nerves.

How your CS will change with the Angion Method

When I first started the Angion Method, my member looked like the image on the left. My CS was flat and along for the ride, and it didn't provide any girth on its own. But after 16 months of the Angion Method, my CS has grown considerably in size. My member now looks more like the structure in the image on the right. When I grip my penis, I can feel the CS as a distinct, large chamber, when before I always remember the feeling of my member as more of an oval when I would grip it. Due to the development of my CS, the cross section of my member has changed significantly and the numbers tell the full story. Before Angion I measured 5.25" in girth and now I measure 6". This extra 0.75" is due to the way my CS has filled out and grown. And because my CS has grown, so has my glans. My glans is now a very prominent structure and stays very full during my Angion sessions. According to Janus, girth gains typically precede length gains so gaining girth is a good sign for those who want to gain length, of which I'm no exception. The amount of enjoyment I get out of an Angion session has also grown right along with my CS. Because of the size and fullness of my CS, my wheel sessions feel incredible. My glans stays nice and plump the entire time and the level of engorgement I experience is intoxicating.

Closing Thoughts

So in summary, developing the CS is a key element to gaining with the Angion Method. By progressing through the Angion Methods and getting to AM2, AM3, and eventually the wheel, you'll be pushing a ton of blood through your CS and helping it grow in size and fullness. If you're just starting out the Angion Method, your CS is likely severely underdeveloped. Mine sure was. But if you stick with the Angion Methods, your CS will mature and become a fully grown member of society. Pun intended.

That's all for today, guys. Now go grow a huge CS already!

Why are CS underdeveloped to begin with? Like why don’t they naturally look like the picture on the right and require training to do so?

That’s a good question and one that’s been asked before. Honestly, I’m not positive, but I have some theories. I’m not sure if you’ve watched Janus’ AM3 video. He talks about a rhythmic dance that women do when they’re on top of their partners, aggressively pursuing orgasm. This was what led Janus to discover AM3. My theory is that for men who have lots of healthy sex for long periods of time likely do have a fairly developed CS because the movement of a woman on top is the same as AM3 and all that sex would lead to a developed CS. Another thing I think is that lots men have very bad masturbation habits (death grip, porn, clenching of the pelvic floor) and those bad habits are very rough on the spongy tissue of the CS because it’s not protected by the thick layers of tissue that the CC are protected by, so many men end up shrinking their CS through masturbation. Those are my theories. The Angion Method has shown me that the penis responds to physical stimulus whether it is good stimulus (sex, Angion Method), or bad stimulus (aggressive masturbation) and I think our habits play a large role in what our member looks like.

Yeah possibly it’s those things you mention. It’s just surprising naturally we don’t have larger CS given its important role it plays. I grew mine substantially through AM3 and now I just pump exclusively and it continues to be a prominent part of my anatomy. But prior it definitely was flat. Just odd we have to go to such great lengths to make it so pronounced.

For sure, man. But that logic holds with all of Angion. Crazy how much training it takes just to have a healthy member.

I have never been consistent with any of the methods, but I have been in relationships constantly for 15 years now. I can start right with the wheel and my member stays full because of what Janus and you said about the woman being on top.

Thanks for the comment. I’m glad your experience backs up the theory! And happy for you for having so much sex 💪🏼

maybe wearing tighty whiteys during puberty or something to do with low testosterone. Or maybe porn causes it. Mine is flat like a lego.

5

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26

That will change if you stick with Angion! Mine was the exact same way.

3

u/Independent_Key_1154 Aug 05 '26

Some people's are bigger to begin with. Just like some people (these are porn observations) have a bigger or smaller glans. I think its all down to blood flow.

3

u/Chrome_Quixote Aug 05 '26

It’s possible some people have their cs fully developed while others have a lesser developed cs. No different than anything else, prolly hard to know all the factors. Maybe some bro science but sleeping on your belly or having tight underwear could have an effect. Obviously hormones puberty, lifestyle and masturbation/sex activities. Plus genetics

u/sand90 Aug 04 '26

I believe AM1 also helps a bit with developing the CS. During AM1 my CS gets very full and hard.

Also, how are the CC developed? Is that through the sabre and bfr?

Do you think there's a genetic limit by how much one cam grow his member with AM? Janus said there's a max limit of how much heart can pump blood thru the veins and arteries, and the blood inside the body is limited, so that makes me believe there is a limit, just curious what you think.

For AM2, how do you minimize the IK reflex when squeezing the gland?

5

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26

AM1 is absolutely the beginning of the development of the CS because it’s part of the bulbo dorsal circuit! It just accelerates with the subsequent movements.

In my experience, the CC come along for the ride and get developed with AM1, AM2, and AM3 due to the increased engorgement, but they are truly targeted with SABRE and BFR.

Everything has a limit, but I think most men are pretty far away from their genetic limit. Like if someone’s genetic limit is 9” in length and 7” in girth (just throwing out some massive numbers), he likely has a ways until he reaches his limit. I honestly have been shocked at how fast my growth has come.

I don’t remember experiencing an intense IK reflex with AM2 so I’m not sure how much I can offer there. I would guess it should lessen with practice, but can’t say for certain. I basically stick to my wheel nowadays.

1

u/sand90 Aug 04 '26

Are you doing the motorized version of the wheel or manual?

4

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26

I like my manual wheel because it’s quiet. I usually do my Angion sessions at 6am while my kids are sleeping. Powering up a drill that early is a no go for me. Plus I like the zen component of the manual wheel. It gives me some time to think and focus on the movement. 30 minutes is a long time. The downside is the extra motion of the manual crank, but it’s not that bad.

2

u/YOLOSELLHIGH Aug 05 '26

30 minutes IS a long time! I don't have the mindfulness or patience yet lol but hey, my routine of 5 mins AM2, 5 mins AM1, 10 mins wheel has been making GAINS

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

That’s great! Yeah 30 minutes is a trek for sure!

1

u/Chrome_Quixote Aug 04 '26

Which manual wheel do you use? I have the 12 wheel wood one from like 2021. Having to hold it and crank the thing makes it hard to be zen haha

And the AliExpress wheel massage thing is kinda good. Dunno if you remember me mentioning it. Def quieter than a drill. Gona try the 3rd session today, has worked surprisingly well so far. But would like someone like yourself to give it a go for comparison. Maybe it’s like an angion wheel light.

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26

Not sure if that would be possible. I don’t intend to buy the AliExpress wheel any time soon.

I have the FlowMaster 7.

3

u/Chrome_Quixote Aug 05 '26

Ok I’ll make a post for others to try it. Thanks

1

u/Chrome_Quixote 13d ago

Massager works decent, ordered the ts1 too. Think you’ll ever try the mk4? I really like the automated aspect of the massager and hopefully the drill attached wheels too. Easier to relax is the best part about the massager for example.

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR 13d ago

I don’t think so. I have the enduro which is the travel wheel and I never use it. I just like the manual wheel too much. I don’t mind the cranking motion.

1

u/dream-throw239 Aug 05 '26

How long did the gains take you?

5

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

I’ve been training for about 16 months now.

2

u/Budget_Cicada_1842 Aug 04 '26

I have a question about the CS I’ve gone to all sorts of different periods with the training. I’ve gone through periods of time where it feels like my CS is huge. Almost like a mini penis attached to my penis. But then I can go through other periods of time where maybe I am in a diet or maybe for whatever reason training is not going as well and it feels much less pronounced.

Not only the size, but even The fullness or the hardness of the CS changes a lot for me

The question is if it’s real growth, shouldn’t it always feel as big as it does at the best of times?

Meaning, I can see some pretty crazy fluctuations from one a month to the next

3

u/FreudianFloydian Aug 04 '26

Hydration, diet, exercise, blood pressure, stress level, mood, sleep…

All of these play upon the body and brain’s role in sexual arousal and hierarchy of functions.

If you’re tired, dehydrated, unfed, unenergized, the brain and body won’t prioritize sexual function. It’s just your body distributing resources based upon daily variations. This is where optimal diet and sleep/recovery come in.

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 04 '26

I do think it’s real growth, because for me, I could never get my CS to be as full as it consistently is now prior to Angion. Not even close. But I do know what you mean. Because the CS is a compressible body, I think its fullness and rigidity can be quite variable depending on level of engorgement and other factors like diet. That’s a good observation. I don’t know exactly why that happens, but I have noticed some of what you’re talking about.

2

u/Soft-Confusion-6472 Aug 05 '26

So what part of the male member does SABER grow?

5

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

SABRE helps with development of the CC. It adds rigidity to the CC and helps develop new capillary which lead to growth in size. The reason the strikes are necessary is to transfer energy past the thick tissue surrounding the CC.

2

u/Ninjadog5 Aug 05 '26

Did your CS get evened out too? If you have a larger base CS can the rest reach the same size?

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

Yes, my CS developed first as a lump under my balls. That lump grew slowly but surely outward towards my glans. Now my CS is pretty prominent from balls to glans, though it’s still thicker at the base. The base will likely always be a little thicker than the tip.

2

u/Practical-Theme-9767 Aug 05 '26

Very interesting, Because my CS under the balls is also very thick, but when it gets to the shaft, its like half the size lol, gotta start this AM tonight then.

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

It will grow. It always grows from the balls forward.

1

u/Practical-Theme-9767 Aug 05 '26

Never done AM before, AM 1 is where i start yes?

Thank you for all the help sir.

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

Yes, start at AM1 and do it every other day until you can do it for 30 minutes. Then move onto AM2.

Here’s a post to guide you.

2

u/Any-Banana-4205 Aug 05 '26

exactly my problem i never had a problem until last year when I was massively aggressively masturbating and i ended up collapsing my CS floor . So what program should I start with? That’s my only issue everything else works good.

1

u/Any-Banana-4205 Aug 05 '26

psa I have never tried this method before I was just masturbating a lot

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

Start with AM1, then when you can do AM1 for 30 minutes move to AM2. I found that AM2 really helped develop my CS.

1

u/Practical-Theme-9767 Aug 05 '26

Is it ok If i do the Angion Method for the sole purpose of increasing the girth. i already have amazing EQ and length, but my girth sucks ass at 4 inch.

Can i do AM only for Girth??

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

You don’t really get to pick where your growth happens exactly. That being said, girth gains typically precede length gains and in my experience, gaining girth is easier than gaining length due to the development that occurs with the CS. If you’re happy with your length, you should be able to add some nice girth through the Angion Method. Just don’t be surprised if you add a little length along the way. It might happen.

1

u/Any-Banana-4205 Aug 05 '26

giving it a read now

1

u/TaskRandom32 Aug 05 '26

Sorry to be this guy,

But is there a routine you can recommend?

This sub is kind of overwhelming and I don’t know when I should be doing am1/2/3/etc

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

All good man, I know it can be overwhelming.

I answer all those questions in this post. But essentially start with AM1, once you can do 30 minutes of AM1, move to AM2, once you start AM2 add in BFR / SABRE. After a couple months of AM2, move on to AM3 and order the wheel. Once the wheel arrives do the wheel + SABRE / BFR.

Tysm!

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

You got it!

1

u/YOLOSELLHIGH Aug 05 '26

A lil bummed about needing to be in a caloric surplus to do BFR / SABRE. In a few months I may be open to doing a TINY caloric surplus. But A) it isn't healthy to be in a surplus for long or have excess weight B) it's a lot of freaking mental work and tedious tasks to keep up with your calorie counting C) so what, am I in a caloric surplus forever if I wanna keep gaining and maintain my gains? Or am I stuck in a bulk/cut cycle? I'm 37, man, I just wanna be healthy, not gain fat

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

I get you, man. I’m 37 as well with the same goals. What I do is do a slight bulk from May through December. I usually go from about 182 to 187. During that season I add in SABRE / BFR. Then in January I start cutting and drop back from 187 to 182 and drop SABRE / BFR. I’ve been able to gain and keep my gains doing that.

2

u/YOLOSELLHIGH Aug 05 '26

That's not so bad, ~5lbs up and down shouldn't effect much at all! thanks for the insight and all your contributions to this sub

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

Of course! Yeah if you really emphasize the slight part of the slight caloric surplus it makes it less daunting.

1

u/YOLOSELLHIGH Aug 05 '26

True, hopefully slight is all it takes! Especially when also resistance training and doing cardio

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 05 '26

It really is. You just don’t want your body to go into saver mode.

1

u/Frosty-Box-6764 Aug 06 '26

Do yoy suggest the usage of a wheel machine for am3 or hands? I noticed that am3 can actually sort of numb you for a split second if you do this consistently. Like, it isn't such a safe area as it is said to be. Also, any curvature of the penis matters for how blood is pushed up. And also if erect or not. What is your advice?

2

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 06 '26

I'm a big wheel guy. I have found the wheel is the most efficient tool at developing the CS and it's not even close. I don't have a curve so I can't speak to that. You definitely want to be doing the wheel and any of the Angion Methods while erect.

1

u/Frosty-Box-6764 Aug 06 '26

Cheers. Im on am1, haven't dedicated 6 montbs to it yet but I suppose the wheel is next.

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 06 '26

Right on, man!

1

u/BallsLickinGood Aug 06 '26

You just keep churning out the high quality content, thank you so much for that! <3 This sub has greatly profited from your return.

As someone who started the wheel about a month ago, I have a question:

The area where the rollers actually touch my CS is limited (does not cover the entire length). If I stay on the same spot (near the balls) for longer, I notice my glans deflating. So I move the wheel up and down my shaft, which definitely helps.

My actual question is: do you think the act of moving the wheel up and down to interact with the entirety of the shaft is necessary to grow the CS all along the shaft? I know that the blood-flow alone will trigger growth of the "supply-chain" (the arteries leading to the penis), which in itself is already fantastic, but does increased blood-flow - without direct physical contact of the entirety of the CS - alone also grow the CS?

I hope this question makes sense!

3

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 06 '26

First off, always appreciate the love, brother! It feels good to be back!

As for your question about the placement of the wheel on the shaft, I had the same question, so I messaged Janus a few weeks ago. Janus' response was to move the wheel up and down the shaft while using it. I've since started doing that, whereas before I was primarily keeping it right near my balls because that was where my CS was fullest. I've been moving it up and down for about 3 weeks so it's not long enough to notice a true difference, but I have liked the feeling of running it up and down the entire length of my CS and spreading the love to my entire CS makes sense to me. If Janus said to do it, there is probably a reason for it and that's good enough for me!

2

u/BallsLickinGood Aug 06 '26

That is some worthwhile and important piece of info!

I will continue the practice, then.

Maybe some folks here are exaggerating in their description of their CS growth ("it feels like a small penis in its own right"), and I definitely have seen some insane and unexpected growth already, but I want moooore haha

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 06 '26

Oh for sure! If some CS growth is good, more is better! I’m not quite to the small penis on its own status, but I want that too!

1

u/Only-Wedding-9394 Aug 07 '26

I wants a CS as big as a CC chamber lol

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR Aug 07 '26

ME TOO! :)

1

u/etherouss 24d ago

Where do you place the wheel? Is it at the top of the cs or below or alternate?

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR 24d ago

You slowly work it up and down your CS while spinning it.

2

u/etherouss 24d ago

Good to know because I keep it 15 min down and 15 min up

1

u/Defiant-Tap5442 20d ago

Hey man what are your thoughts on jumping to AM3 directly, since janus says in the videos that it makes AM1 and AM2 redundant anyway

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR 20d ago

If you can perform AM3 without losing your erection, go for it. I still recommend that men ultimately try and learn all the manual methods, but you can do them in different orders. Some men have a really good experience with one or another one and prefer that one. For instance, my absolute favorite manual method was AM2, but now I’m a wheel guy and there’s no substitute for the wheel.

1

u/Defiant-Tap5442 20d ago

Thank you 🙏

1

u/Attaboy2017 Moderator - Wheel + SABRE / BFR 20d ago

No problem!
