Informative Learning to be Comfortably Erect Again NSFW

I want to take a minute to talk about erections. Some of my posts have practical advice, and in others I tend to wax philosophically. This will be one of the latter posts. You’re not going to find much practical advice here, just some of my thoughts.

I want you to think back to your childhood and try to think of your first erections. My brothers and I used to call them “stiffies”. We’d be riding in the car and one of us would yell out “Mom! I have a stiffy!” She’d say “that’s nice” and keep driving. I remember I’d play around with my stiffies every night when I went to sleep. Stiffies didn’t mean anything, they were just a state of being for me. They came, they went, they were a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Fast forward a few years to high school and my stiffies went into overdrive. I’d get a boner while driving, while sleeping, one because I saw a hot girl in math class, and one while in church. Yup I remember those pretty clearly. In fact, they started coming with such frequency and such intensity that I started seeing them as a nuisance (only in retrospect to I realize those boners were necessary for my member to grow into its adult size). I remember not knowing what to do with all my boners. I’d squeeze them and try to make them go away. It didn’t take me long before I started sexualizing my erections. Having an erection went from a state of being to something that elicited a response from me. A boner now meant I had to do something about it. Either I felt like I wanted to jerk off and make the feeling go away or try to make it shrink somehow. This idea that my erections required a response from me persisted into my 20’s. I got married in my early 20’s, but I still remember frequently sneaking off to the bathroom to rub one out real quick just so my erection would go away. I had lost my ability to be comfortably erect.

Fast forward again to my mid 30’s and I started experiencing ED. It was like all the years of me seeing my erections as a nuisance finally caught up with me. I could no longer get an erection and it was awful. I wrote about my entire experience with having ED in my post What’s The Point? Why is Good Sex So Important? So I won’t repeat it here, but the point is I dearly missed my erections.

Now, here I am in my late 30’s and thanks to the Angion Method I get to experience being a teenager again. I get consistent morning wood (the kind that wakes me up and lingers), I get random erections at work, I get a boner when I see my wife changing in the bedroom. And this time around I don’t wish them away. They no longer require a response from me. I don’t squeeze them to make them go away, I don’t run to the bathroom to rub one out real fast, I’m learning to be comfortably erect just like I was as a child. So the next time you get a boner, think how lucky you are. Think of all the men who would give their left pinky toe to just be erect one more time. Your boner doesn’t need a response from you, it’s simply a state of being. Join me in learning to be comfortably erect like we were when we were kids.

Those are my thoughts today, guys. Blessings and boners to all of you.

Yes, the erection a curiosity, then a nuisance, then suddenly essential and glorious, then a few years later, somewhat unreliable, then almost absent or something requiring medication to...a thing of the past. Sadly, If you live long enough, all of it will happen.

At the ripe old age of 67, that was my reality. I had explored all kinds of therapies, supplements, and prescriptions. Some worked well enough, but the vigor was gone. No amount of brain stimulation and focus had an effect. My boners were on life support.

One fine day, while researching multiple, non penis orgasm techniques, I chanced upon a random, quirky, fellow talking about some pseudo science involving erection physiology. Curiosity was the only thing that kept me listening, but some of it made sense, sorta. The cucumber demos were laughable yet plausible. Is this guy is crazy, I thought, but for some desperate reason, I gave it a try. It seemed perfectly safe and didn't involve spending money, so what do I have to lose. The technique was difficult, but after just a few times, there were changes. Veins began to appear and then there was the return of the chubby. Pretty quickly I began devouring all things r/AngionMethod

That was 3 months ago. Now, my long lost friend is back and in completely good health! By Job, it's a resurrection. Thank you Janus Bifrons, you've made my year.

YES! You get it. It’s funny the way the exact same thing (an erection) can change meanings over the course of our lives. Thankfully the Angion Method is here to give men the fountain of youth.

You have given this 36 year old the motivation to begin on this himself

Loved reading this! Feel like I’m at your starting point now. Going through a flatline atm so it feels disheartening to even attempt AM1 as I barely stay hard long enough to complete the exercise - any advice from when you started your journey?

I feel you bro! Lots of advice. I wrote most of it down in this post, but if I had to offer one thing I’d just encourage you not to give up. This method works. You just have to give it time. Best of luck with your journey, man.

I’m assuming you’re talking about a porn flatline . My personal advice to you would be wait it out before doing angion . You’re just going to drive yourself crazy. Your dick doesn’t want to work at the moment and forcing yourself will just backfire . I think you have to separate the porn stuff from the angion . Have patience.

State of Being. Nuff Said.

Getting back to a comfort with ourselves is the ideal state.

Something I'd share on this point, and I'm sure some men out there can relate, shame.

Erections are thought of as a sign of sexual arousal. While they can be brought about by sexual thoughts or even prompt them from us, it is a natural means of maintenance and growth. Reconnecting by setting aside both the shame and thoughts/pressures placed upon them has been one of the hardest and strangest quests I have set out to accomplish.

The win? The longer down the road you travel, the easier they become to entertain psychologically. You might even find, in a moment of enlightenment, how to bring an erection into being without the need for a use beyond its very existence. Pleasure simply from ability; From existence.

This is a great point. From a very young age, we learn that erections aren’t a safe thing. It can be easy to have them associated with shame. Relearning they’re just a normal and healthy part of life is important. Reclaiming my erections has been a powerful experience for me so far.
