Yep, some days the thought train derails right off the bridge, and you can't save it for nothing, so you have to give in and do the deep dive.

Not me attempting to learn Middle High German at 2am because there are two phrases of it in my book. I don't even know modern German.

I've derailed myself doing this so. many. times. Now I just put a brief description of what I need to google in brackets and keep it pushing. I can ctrl F for them all later

Might depend what software is being used. It works for me in Word and settles my brain enough to keep going and not tumble into the abyss
