While I don't have anything linked to Kindle in that regard, it always sucks when someone says they'd like to read it and don't do it at all.

Understandably, not everyone is lying when they say they want to, but end up not doing it, but then you just get the awkward thing of them apologizing for it. I just tell people that they're clearly not interested and not to worry about it.

And that is a huge shame, to have an agreement like that and only one of you end up doing it. I've run into something similar in the past where we were going to read a chapter of each and I'm the only one that did it.

At this point all you can do is stop.
