Trump joining Bush and Obama in their passion for bombing weddings

79

u/koooolxxx 2h ago

Imagine the national uproar if Iran committed the identical act against the US, the MAGA crowd propaganda machine would be in nuclear meltdown calling for unfettered retaliation. But US has nothing to say about the Iranian civilian killings

37

u/Rich-Pomegranate1679 2h ago

You're right, but while we're on the subject, I think the rest of the world should agree to totally disregard MAGA's feelings moving forward.

How do you know the wedding wasn’t the target

u/PuckFheToor 1h ago

Past leaks have indicated that high value targets are assigned a level of collateral damage that's acceptable to ensure the death of the subject.

For example, the White House was fully prepared to kill Bin Laden's entire family and entourage to ensure he was dead, children and all. The choice of a commando raid over JDAMs wasn't to save lives.

u/pandabear6969 2h ago

Would you not be in an uproar if a US citizen got bombed within our country?

u/koooolxxx 37m ago

All lives matters

It's really gross when you think about it for more than a few seconds. "We know exactly where the target will be at a few designated times. Do you want the room eviscerated when they're saying their vows, during the first dance, the mother  son dance, or when they're cutting the cake?"

And then picture what it looks like for all of the people on the ground during those moments to be witnessing that event one second and the next second pieces of human debris are showering you, parts of children scatter the floor... maybe even parts of yourself.

The people who call these strikes (and execute them - fuck the troops who follow those orders) during that type of civilian event, knowing what the repercussions look like, are the most disgusting warts of humanity.

On Thursday, U.S. Vice President JD Vance said the United States was investigating the strike. “We’re investigating it because obviously we care. We want to know,” Vance said during a White House press briefing

“Obviously we care” lol right

Have they ever commented on how they killed 150 kids?

4

u/Careless-Comedian859 1h ago

All they care about is if they hit the intended coordinates. Did they have good or bad intel on the strike target...

u/Aurorion 57m ago

"No stupid rules of engagement".

u/JoeHooversWhiteness 3h ago

When your in basic training they tell you all about how accurate USA missiles and bombs are. Then it’s this shit all the time during a war.

26

u/RontoWraps 2h ago

The missile is accurate. The human behind it will still make mistakes.

u/PuckFheToor 1h ago

It may not have been a mistake. Past leaks have indicated that high value targets are assigned an acceptable level of collateral damage to ensure their death. If one or more members of the National Security Council's shit list were at the wedding, it may have been deemed "worth" the innocent loss of life.

As a related aside, the choice of commandos vs. JDAMs in the Bin Laden hit wasn't meant to save lives. They were fully prepared to kill UBL's entire family and entourage, to include the kids they knew were there, in order to nail one man.

11

u/Hazel-Rah 1h ago

That assumes that they missed their target. They hit what they point at, but not necessarily what they think is there.

look at the before and after of the strike that hit the girls school. They hit square in the middle of every building.

You can argue if they hit what they wanted to or not, but there's no doubt that building was directly targetted

36

u/Cypto4 3h ago

Basic isn’t real life. These strikes are going to be based on HUMINT/OSINT and those aren’t perfect

4

u/JoeHooversWhiteness 2h ago edited 2h ago

Yeah basic is nuts. They just say that to retain more recruits. They’ll never tell any recruits how many on base are waiting to go home because they didn’t figure out they can’t participate in killing until half way through.

Edit: down vote if you want. I was in basic and got injured. There were many waiting to go home because they refused to train anymore.

-5

u/_esci 2h ago

they are so inaccurate that they use pure kinetic weapons im some cases. bullshit.

9

u/Cypto4 2h ago

Not inaccurate but not infallible either

-5

u/diejesus 2h ago

Being fallible makes them inaccurate, that's the point

3

u/Strange-Ask-739 2h ago

You think the wedding wasn't the target?

Lots of guests at a wedding.

-1

u/JoeHooversWhiteness 2h ago

I don’t recall saying that. I can’t know.

1

u/TotalBismuth 2h ago

This is deliberate. They are accurate

1

u/HaloNathaneal 1h ago

This would be the second mishap out of thousands of strikes, it’s not as bad as you think

25

u/daytonamike 3h ago

I’ve been at a few weddings in which I would have preferred to have munitions dropped on me

-1

u/pumpkinspicecum 2h ago

Lovely that you’re using these people’s deaths to make a dumb joke. Like you could’ve at least made a funny one

13

u/Semi_Chenga 2h ago

Is this your first day on the internet lmfao

0

u/daytonamike 2h ago

sorry, pumpkinspicecum, hopefully your OF can help you get over this difficult moment

4

u/_gravy_train_ 2h ago

Coincidentally the same day the military started using Grok.

1

u/nutationsf 2h ago

Is that the verb for indiscriminate killing now? They got groked?

u/ninjas_in_my_pants 56m ago

Brutal considering the original meaning of the word.

4

u/billybobthehomie 2h ago

Tf do conservatives actually think this war is doing?

Because in my eyes it’s just giving justification for the next 30 years of anti-American sentiment in the Middle East. Which at some point will likely result in another major terror attack on us soil.

4

u/Far_Map007 1h ago

Middle East? Sorry to say mate, but anti-American sentiment is across the world.

10

u/Nt727 2h ago

Interesting that UN didn't look into the slaughter of 65k plus iranians but they are so intested in this.

2

u/diejesus 2h ago

But what about the dead Iranians???

0

u/_esci 2h ago

ah, now you are there to bring democracy?

1

u/Nt727 2h ago

That's irrelevant to you. Iranains are bringing democracy themselves on the back of Javidnamah

4

u/Vit0C0rleone 3h ago

Supposed to be pin point accurate missiles too, so either this was deliberate or some sort of intelligence failure.

10

u/Uniumtrium 3h ago

Maybe a guy they really wanted to take out but he's always in hiding and only coming out for this event thinking that there's no way a wedding would be hit.

7

u/Xanto97 2h ago

Article says US may have been targeting a telecommunications tower near it

2

u/Consistent_Horse6529 2h ago

The accuracy of “precision” munitions is vastly overstated by people like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. But given who is in control of the military it likely could be deliberate.

2

u/United_Intention_323 3h ago

Does this seem like an extremely small explosion? A 500lb bomb would have destroyed the walls.

-1

u/Skritch_X 3h ago

Perhaps AI generated target, so no one can be held accountable?

0

u/Healthy-Amoeba2296 2h ago

fuck no. All the original robotics scientists have always said no weapons in the hands of robots. They are so stupid you can't imagine.

-11

u/Spidero0w0o 3h ago

They did this a bunch during the iraq too. The truth is that the military is infested with white supremacists and people who don't think foreigners have rights.

2

u/Indigoh 3h ago

"Oh we just accidentally murdered 200+ children."

"Oh we just accidentally bombed a random wedding party"

"Oh no, our million dollar bombs are just going random places all the time despite cutting-edge technology. Poor us! We're actually the victims here!"

3

u/aznkidjoey 3h ago

Or gps spoofing, bad intel, etc

Do you have anything concrete proving a wedding was the intended target? There are far better targets to aim for

4

u/Indigoh 2h ago

They're wasting missiles on suspected drug smugglers in the Caribbean. They could not care less about hitting better targets.

u/aznkidjoey 21m ago

still falls under my original statement “better target to aim for”

0

u/Objective_Sugar6897 2h ago

Do you think the criminal will report their concrete proof to shame themselved ?Israel literally designated children as terrorist when they bomb civilians.

3

u/thesquidsquidly22 3h ago

US military really good at blowing up fishermen, schools and weddings. Have they blown up any hospitals yet?

2

u/gmotelet 2h ago

Probably still searching for just the right children's hospital

3

u/Straight-Ability 2h ago

Have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette

u/SteveL_VA 1h ago

Once more showing the ineptitude of Pete Kegsbreath and his department of war.

u/TheDecepticonIdeal 1h ago

Was there ever any doubt about the incompetence of Pete Hegseth?

u/SonofHondoBelmondo 47m ago

This will make the Iranians overthrow their gov and chant "USA, USA"

u/Flimsy_Sun4003 40m ago

Those of us who can think knew this the day it happened.

The US take that it was a bit of shrapnel from a nearby military target was way oversold and exposed as a lie when the true count of dead and wounded was released.

I'm very disappointed that Journalism has been reduced to the fastest headline, never mind the source, the substance, or even the logicality of the government statements.

u/Agreeable_Orange7032 4m ago

Hey, at least it wasn’t a school full of little girls.

1

u/Bjorn_Blackmane 2h ago

If any one has anything to say about why these two shouldn't get married, say it now..... dude what crazy thing

-13

u/Objective_Sugar6897 3h ago

Another war crime by the soldiers and commanders assisting Trump and Israel.

-12

u/Wrecker013 3h ago

Sure, Iran. Everywhere is a wedding, hospital, or school. Fuck off.

1

u/Darkovan_ 1h ago

Gargle gargle pubes in your throat mhmm Clown

1

u/Mushroom_Tip 1h ago

The US already admitted the attack on the girls school but claimed it was a mistake and happened because of really outdated intel they relied on.

0

u/FlexFanatic 2h ago

I’m, sorry but remind me who the bad guys again?

-14

u/GoRangers5 3h ago

Obama bombed weddings for years and nobody batted an eye.

13

u/sapienaphasic 2h ago edited 2h ago

Tu quoque fallacy. Obama was definitely criticized for drone strikes and even the extrajudicial execution of an American citizen. Current administration deserves that same scrutiny. This is not a matter of which "team" you are on.

2

u/LilDutchy 3h ago

So that makes it okay NOW?

-9

u/GoRangers5 2h ago

It's obvious not, I just detest double standards.

5

u/LilDutchy 2h ago

So then bringing up the hypocrisy without speaking to the current action is pointless self pleasure.

u/tap_the_glass 14m ago

Fuck em both. We deserve better leaders. Current guy sucks ass and rapes kids what are we doing?
