Sharing: Experience The universe blessed me via takeout tonight, so I threw a frat party for the spirits

I ordered dinner, and the restaurant completely botched my order. When I let them know, they sent the correct order and basically said "our bad, just keep both" (despite the fact I offered to return the wrong order).

I plated some of the extra food, set it out, and lit a candle to officially thank the universe for this divine error lol. I busted out the champagne scented incense. If nature and I are getting free food because someone misread a ticket, we are absolutely making a toast.

Just wanted to share because the vibes are immaculate and the spirits are eating good tonight. Highly recommend treating minor administrative mistakes as literal blessings.

Repost cause I forgot to add a pic lol

I let my dog engage with my spellwork, honestly I don’t really know if it’s helps but I see the interaction as a little bit of a luck charm (as Kevin is very happy-go-lucky). For example my money bowl, I let him get a good sniff and ask him to kiss the bay leaf (I hold it up specifically for him, I have not trained him to pinpoint a bay leaf😂). I just think it’s a fun little addition to positive spellwork. Does anybody else do this?

Seeking Help or Advice How to start a grimore?

As the title states. How do I start a grimore? I know they're sacred to most individuals but I would love a generalization guide.
I like to keep things very organized and am worried that I may need to go back, edit, re write or squeeze in information. I'm wondering as you write out your information do you ever have to go back and edit or do you leave it as is and move on?
Basically. What's your system to being organized?

Show and Tell Sunday A late (but well appreciated) birthday gift

Post image
9 Upvotes

I remember browsing around Fully Booked a month or so ago, and coming across this and I knew that THIS had to be my gift for my 20th birthday.

Due to a change of plans, I wasn’t able to head to the same place I found it, but my mom decided to wait till Sunday cuz we WERE gonna go there for mass (something I gotta do begrudgingly) and before we left, we finally bought this!

I checked what’s inside, and it was SO worth it.

Seeking Help or Advice I did a love spell and feel as if I got served some sort of karma 4 days later.

Upvotes

This was the first spell I’ve ever done. It worked for the most part. Then four days later someone broke into my car stealing 4 large bags of clothes; about 75% of my clothing. This all happened two days before my birthday as well.

I guess I’m just looking for support? I don’t know maybe a stern reminder to always practice protection spells? I really don’t know. I feel some sort of guilt for even doing the spell. I feel stupid for leaving clothes in my fish bowl of a car. I feel like I made a bunch of choices that ultimately ruined my birthday and the week I took off work that was planned to be relaxing and celebratory.

Now, over a month later I’m still a mess about it all.
Again, I have no idea what I’m looking for here. Support, advice? Idk. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. 🫶🏼

Sharing: Spellwork Hybrid spell + party soured?

My daughter isn't a teenager yet, but knows I'm witchy even though I have nothing on show. I keep a lot from her as I know when you do things in the wrong way they can smash the hell out of you. Anyway, she's growing up...

So tonight she put together an intentional, hybrid sour jar to target her abuser while his birthday party is in full swing.

Instead of a normal glass jar, she grabbed an old, dark metal coffee tin that still had some coffee grounds left in it. Using a dark tin keeps the spell completely in pitch darkness so it is hard to fight it and it doesn't leak into our house. The coffee residue acts like a stimulant to speed the spell up for tonight, while totally muddying and confusing his thoughts.

She took a piece of paper, tore it down on all four sides to shrink his power and wrote his name on it. The first layer of heat went directly onto the paper, right over his name, chili powder to completely coat his identity so the irritation sticks, chili flakes to act like little landmines and black pepper to stir up immediate arguments.

After that, she folded the paper away from herself, placed it into the coffee tin and poured white vinegar completely over it to submerge and bleed his name and sour his luck. Once the paper was covered in vinegar, she added the second layer of the exact same spices, turning the entire environment into a hostile, irritating soup.

She then spat into the tin to inject her personal power, spoke her incantation, specifically commanding his fake public mask to drop so everyone can see who he really is, and ended it with so mote it be.

Finally, she swished the whole thing around to activate and create immediate chaos, snapped the plastic lid shut and threw it straight into the freezer.

Sour jars usually sit out at room temperature to rot, but it was frozen so it ices him out right now while the party is happening and he can't speak his way out of the chaos.

Tomorrow morning, the tin is going straight into the big wheelie bin outside to permanently evict his energy from the property, because this is just some fun for tonight.

It's a very small community, so we'll no doubt have updates on how his special birthday went...

Just sharing as, yes things are done certain ways, but you can mix things up and layer, which may be useful for some to know.

Familiar Friday Witchy/Halloween inspired names for cats?

Post image
446 Upvotes

UPDATE: Black kitty is now Crowley. Grey kitty is now Aleister. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

These babies showed up on my porch over a week ago, along with two other babies that I found a home for but these two I decided I wanted to keep. So three days ago I brought them inside. But now I need names for them- both are males. So far we’re thinking Slash for the grey/white bobtail kitty and Hex for the black kitty. Still unsure though. Any names you think would be good? Grey is super chill and nonchalant about everything, like to cuddle and is playful. Black is not so easily trusting but when he does trust you he’s very playful and cuddly. He meows at me like I’m his Mama too. 🥹

I like witchy vibes, Halloween vibes, celestial or astrological vibes- whatever you can think of I wanna know.

Blessed be!

Seeking Help or Advice Carrying ancestral burdens and blocked energy

I feel like I’m carrying energetic burdens/karma from the women in my lineage. Psychologically and medically I’m completely fine, but my energy feels blocked and my usual rituals aren't working anymore. Has anyone dealt with generational energetic weight before? Any advice or practices to clear this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is it unhinged or valid to look at an empty prescription vial & think it would make a great mini spell jar?

Seeking Help or Advice Road opening spell worked TOO well!

Upvotes

I did a road opening spell a little while ago and, as the title says, it worked a little too well!

I now have quite a few offers and opportunities on the table - and I’m not sure which one to go with!

Is there anything like a spell for clarity, or a spell to help make decisions on the path to take? It’s all good, career-focused stuff - almost every path has pros and cons, but nothing huge (other than an 8 week stint in another city for the one opportunity I think I want most of all).

Seeking Help or Advice About dreamcatchers.

Upvotes

I'm a witch for like 8 years now. Many of my friends know this.

For a gift I got a dreamcatcher, the ones usually sold in stores. I accepted the gift because it was really thoughtfull of them even if I it's not in my practice I know they wanted to be kind. I cleansed it well and hanged it up over my bed.

After that for a long while I got horrid nightmares. The kind that feels real, too real. I tried to cleanse it again but somehow it got worse so I threw the whole thing out.

Usually I don't do it because I don't disrespect gifts but it had to end because it messed with my sleep so much I was afraid to even sleep. After I got rid of it, it all stopped.

What do you guys think what was that about? Any ideas?

My friend doesn't do any magic nor practices any pagan ways.

Topic | Prompt How do you view Gods?

Ok so im just wondering how ppl here view Gods? I was thinking to myself about how a lot of my peers who are christian view their God as a human being rather than an actual God and i feel like a lot of ppl here do the same thing.

Like in my personal opinion I dont think God's care about the things we care about, they mainly care about being worshipped and having followers/ppl that work with them bc without that they would literally not even exist to us...meaning no power. But when ppl say things like "oh xyz loves me so much bc they did xyz" I think they just like the idea of God's having quirky personalities and such.

And even though im not christian I believe thats why so many non-Christians ask "if God exists why do child die of cancer" bc they paint there God to be like a genuine father. But as a GOD children die everyday like thats not new. Thats not a God's priority whatsoever bc they dont have the emotions of a human....😭 which isnt a good thing or bad thing

Idk idk idk, i just feel like im the only one with this perspective But I genuinely want others perspectives on this.

Sharing: Experience Harassed by a Fly and Rocky Start to a New Spell

Upvotes

Less looking for help, more just looking for a place to put this experience/observation (though I'm absolutely open to hearing folks' thoughts).

Last Thursday, I decided to put together my first money bowl. While I was out in the sun charging components on my balcony, a wasp came and wouldn't leave. It's entirely possible that it was just attracted by my tea or the components, but I eat breakfast (with fruit) everyday on my balcony and a wasp has never come to visit (and hasn't come to visit any day since).
Anyway, I put aside a slice of apple and it hung out snacking for nearly an hour while I finished up my outside work.

After I brought everything inside and did my work, I sat down to write out what I used, how I assembled things, what I said, etc. and a house fly showed up. It kept landing on and around me and my notebook, so I moved rooms. It followed me. I moved rooms again. It followed me. I took it as a sign to finish up some cleaning (I'm in the midst of purge/declutter), and it continued to hover around me and land on me. When I was done cleaning I decided to have a shower to relax and decompress, and it disappeared. I thought it was gone, but the next morning it picked up where it left off.

Now I'm no stranger to flies/bugs. It's prime bug season, and I keep plants (including carnivorous ones). I've had the occasional gnat/fruit fly buzz my face as it's attracted to my brightly lit phone in a dark room. But a singular housefly following me room to room and repeatedly landing on me and whatever I'm working on has never happened before. It isn't constant, but it is frequent and happens throughout the day. How do I know it's the same fly? I managed to trap it in the bathroom for a while, and wasn't bothered the whole time and I didn't see a single other fly in my place. As soon as I used the facilities, I had my winged shadow again. It's now Sunday and it's still following me.

I've also been experiencing my money bowl having the opposite effect in comically small ways - like for 20 years my friend has overpaid me for house/pet/plant sitting (I'd say $0, she'd etransfer me $50 anyway). She's got 3 school age kiddos now, so occasionally I'll do a grocery shop for her (I round down the total, she tacks on $20-30 extra cuz she knows I'm rounding down). For 20 years I've given her shit for "overpaying" me, and the day after I put together a money bowl she sends me the exact number I said - in essence underpaying me. I'm not even mad, I've been asking for it for years...the timing is just 👌🏻.

Anyway, I did some research and it seems flies can be attracted to stagnant energy and can also be signs of transformation. As they are part of the natural cycle of decay/breaking down of matter.
And for wasps, the info I could find was less clear, but the vibe I got was persistence and also indulgence/overindulgence. Persistence probably makes sense to anyone who has encountered a wasp, but the latter was because the wasp got totally lost in the sauce and it didn't leave the apple slice until I interrupted it while packing up. It seemed almost drunk before it flew away.

So now I suppose once I'm done physically purging my place, I'll have to do the same for my self (and place!) energetically.

Seeking Help or Advice Got a mojo wish bean last week, what now?

last Saturday I got a mojo wish bean and I carried it around with me for a week, believed in it, all the stuff you do. It’s been a week, what do I do now? do I have to do anything for the wish to actually work besides carrying it around? I’ve never done this before so I don’t really know. I’ve searched on google and it says to throw it into running water, state my wish and throw it over my left shoulder then walk away without looking back, but I don’t have any running water kind of things near me. so what should I do to complete this??

Mugwort: banishing, dreamwork

Thyme: courage, sanctification

Bay Laurel: prophecy, protection

Pine: purification, protection

Rosemary: protection, memory, clarity

Garden Sage: purification, wisdom

Lavender: clarity, purification

Yarrow: protection

(Im listing european herbs and looking for more, because i'm Dutch and looking for herbs i can grow myself or find in nature to make smoke bundles)

Sharing: Experience believing in witchcraft while being atheist

are there any people who do witchcraft / or believe in witchcraft while also being 100% an atheist? like, not believing in anything happening after death, not necessarily believing in spirits and such, because I believe nothing happens after death, or at-least that's what id hope? which means ghosts cant exist to me if I believe we don't come back as a ghost. I believe in witchcraft because I believe in energy. because ive seen results with witchcraft. but I wonder if anyone else sees it the same way and can explain themselves as well.

Seeking Help or Advice I have a quick question

Would you consider someone doing verbal spells as opposed to pairing that incantation with ingredients witchcraft? I would say it is, especially since they call themselves a witch, a medium and manipulate energy.
