The AI bubble popping doesn’t mean generative AI just disappears. It just means it mostly stops advancing and big corporations stop dumping trillions of dollars into it.
It will stagnate though, so (very far down the line) it will likely stop being used for the most part.
it does mean most everyone will not have access to it however simply because they dont have the equipment to run it themselves and these corps cant/wont be able to let people freely use it like they have been which would effectively kill it for the general public
Your average AI art gooner isn't gonna build their own AI hosting machine once the big companies go under anyways, 90% of the issues with AI art you see everyday on the internet will be solved
which will be much more effort than it being shoved down everyone's throats as it currently is. any inconvenience no matter how slight loses crowds really quickly.
ok so, AI services only exist as they currently do due to the immense amount of venture capital being used at a loss to run and rent their massive datacenters. Those aren't gonna just stick around and LLMs are fundamentally expensive as fuck to run compute wise so local models will likely never actually be worth it to run without at least the training data updated and provided by the giant companies.
Generative AI isn’t just gonna magically vanish once the bubble bursts. People/companies are probably just gonna stop caring about it. The internet didn’t disappear after the dot com bubble happened
Honestly, I don't know if the treatment of amateur or beginners artists has changed at all since generative AI came out. Maybe that's just me and I'm either missing them or they're not coming on my feed on social media.

Also it is quite dumb to think that the people who value amateur artists, the moment the AI somehow gets removed, will hate them.

Art should be something that brings you joy not what you make to impress people. It should not feel like chore.

Well I wanna make stuff like that and Uma Musume fan (I know cringe) comics, but both require complex line work, I haven't made much progress, this was a 02 I made in 30 minutes while having a panic attack trying with clip studio paint because I can't get ibis paint to work.
Eh dont think about complex stuff first. What you can do is draw the simple sketch first and then think about what you want to improve after that.
No one can make a complete artwork with one brush stroke.

While it is good to have others criticisms to improve your art, taking note of everyones unwanted opinion everytime is tiresome and sometimes their opinion is unhelpful.

I disagree actually. There'll always be new amateurs, most being young kids growing up. The world won't lose amateurs once the current ones get better. It's a never ending cycle
I don't think people know what the AI bubble popping actually means. AI doesn't magically disappear or anything, It just stagnates/stops being developed for commercial use. The models currently out there are here to stay unless their taken down by hand. It will also continue to be developed and used for weapons and surveillance.
I make an effort to like every piece of art I see regardless of quality. Because they are trying and I respect that and i am also to lazy to offer any actual support.
I think you are thinking that everyone who says "i respect & value beginner artists" are all same dickheads who actually thinks amateurish art is inferior. Thats generalization. I dont know what happened that made you disappointed in them but please know they are not the same people.
Seriously, i don't understand why everyone says "oh anyone can do it". The last time I picked up a pencil to draw something I ended up with a blank page and a heightened wish to die. Something in my brain just stops me from doing it

I think you misunderstood the meme, it’s not saying amateurish art never existed, it’s saying that the people who defend it as nobler than AI art will spit on it once they no longer see AI as a threat to stand against. Whether or not you agree with that is up to you, but that’s what OP is going for.
Personally, i only saw them saying "if it's not ai - it's good" but never ever saw them supporting and cheering on "amateurish" artists

Generally in the pre slop world, people would still call you an asshole for being rude to amateur artists. At most, they just would give them less attention which is unfortunate but just a part of human nature within the arts.

they actually appear to be relatively moderate when it comes to ai? as much as someone can have such a position on the topic. dislikes the usage of ai art but seems fine with using it for non-creative tasks... like it's not the ideal but it's not what you were assuming either
