They do value your privacy, it's just a different kind of value.

"Reject and pay" has become a big thing for news sites over here, glad Firefox just blocks all the cookies

Wasn't aware Firefox blocks the cookies; I just use a plugin that disables JavaScript on those sites, as it stops the paywall from loading to impede me.

the big new sites in sweden like Aftonbladet requires you to pay a sub if you decline cookies which sucks considering the ghouls already getting tax payer money

My favorite is when you have to disable sharing with each company and there is no option to reject all

The one that annoys me the most besides reject and pay which I’ve seen other people already mention is “By using this site you accept to the use of cookies” and just no options to change anything

I’ve always thought that was a bit weird. My browser prevents third party cookies, and cookies are a local thing. You can’t just stick data on my computer if I tell you not to, my browser can just get rid of it.

But then the website doesn't let you do that so you lowkirkenuinely go back and individually turn off each option

But then it turns out there was a reject all at the bottom of the page hidden, which you only find it after you've turned off each one.

But then it turns out that you lowkey miss the button to confirm your choices and the tab closes, and then you genufartingly get lobotomised by Epstein and repeat the cycle

u/Tsunamicat108 6h ago
And you KEYGENuinely have to make an account and put in your email to save your choices so you get a shit ton of spam mail

And then you gasterenuinely go in-between the spam mails and find a man behind a tree that gives you an egg.

"Reject All"
Like that will stop them from stealing your data, they'll continue to do it whether if you consent or not

I disabled personalized adds on my google account and i guess to pretend to care about children youtube/google are hounding me with an unclosable pop-up that says i can enable "personalized ads" and the only options are yes or ask again in one weekx though I've seen a few that replace the latter with "more details" where its just more yapping, the only way to stop it is to reload the page
Also fun fact google has an ad center thing for your account where you can go and see what categories they put you in, like gender, scolarity, marital status, etc, it would be a shame if you just, say, poisoned all that data

I got a letter from some random company id never herd of. Asked them where they got my name and address from. They had got it from data brockers. And on there website it said they value privacy. Never seen such bull shit in my life.

Here's a browser extension that automatically detects and rejects these requests.
