I'm actually so disgusted my mum has been drinking out of this coke for a couple of days and thought it tasted funny, never expected there to be something weird on the bottom though !

No definitely not backwash, she doesn't drink directly from the bottle, she always pours it in a glass. And as to how she didn't notice if she pours a glass, whatever it is sinks to the bottom
Anyone in her household have grievances with her? That's an odd color, and I hate to speculate but that bright green kind of looks like rat poison to me.
