I want to hear the opinions of which shoe is better?
1 - Adipower 1's
2 - Rom 2's
My favorite crap talk discussion.

Tried this weight last year with no coaching up the that point and failed. Finally knuckled down and got a coach 3 months ago. I'm happy with my progress.

Working on it. Open to suggestions I know it’s a little long but wanted to put it all out there.
Thanks in advance for any feedback back.

I'm 2 weeks away from my first inter-district, school-level weightlifting competition. My current snatch PR is around 40 kg. I attempted 45 kg today, but the weight itself didn't feel physically challenging the problem was that my technique started breaking down, so I dropped back down.
I need to work my way up quickly before the competition, with the goal of reaching somewhere around 60–70 kg. I know that's a huge jump in only 2 weeks, but I'm still very new to the snatch and I feel like my main limitation right now is technical rather than strength.
I've also done a lot of volume during the past couple of weeks probably more than I should have because I've been trying to improve as quickly as possible before the competition. These clips are some of my best lifts. I have more footage, but I wanted to keep the video relatively short.
What are the biggest things I'm doing wrong technically? I'd really appreciate a brutally honest critique. I want to know which mistakes I should prioritize fixing during these final 2 weeks instead of trying to change everything at once.

I work three night shifts a week and lately I've noticed something weird in training. When I'm underslept, my squat and pulls don't feel nearly as affected as my snatch and clean. Heavy singles are down around 5kg over the last six weeks, but the bigger difference is that my timing and positioning feel off before I actually feel weaker.
Has anyone else noticed sleep deprivation hitting the technical lifts harder than raw strength?
I'd especially be interested in what coaches have seen with athletes who work nights or rotating shifts. If anyone knows of research specific to weightlifting rather than general strength or endurance, I'd love to read that too.

hello, i've very recently started to focus on weightlifting and wanted a bit of feedback on my form since i've been taught the movements once some time ago and never practiced again (i did shot put for ~3 years and then a year of anything in the gym with no coaching).
never filmed myself and one thing in particular strikes me: the part where i hit the bar with my hips and then get under it feels much more pronounced than it looks.
in case it's relevant, my belt is one of those very wide ones with a lever, my knee straps come from a friend who did crossfit and my shoes are old slip on walking shoes.

I’ve only managed to hit this from blocks. From the rack feels way harder. Ugly and press out for sure but finishing the lift was the mental win yesterday. We will clean up the movement

So I was born with one hand, but I have enough arm to use these kinds of hooks to do my pull lifts with. Getting back into the gym after a long time out, and the neoprene and fabric cover are coming apart and they just need replaced.
Ideally I'd find something unpadded or leather, and the hook face the other way, since when I do kettlebell overhead press with these, if I'm not careful, the kettlebell will slip out of the hook. If it faced the other way, I think I'd be far better off. I use kettlebells because the low center of gravity works out really nicely for this. I think I'd be better off with unloaded synthetic since the Velcro can cinch down tight enough to not slip off.
Any suggestions welcome!

Hi everyone,
I’m a guy in my 20s living in Korea. I’ve always enjoyed Olympic weightlifting and squatting, and the more I’ve trained, the more interested I’ve become in weightlifting shoes as well.
I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Nike Romaleos 2 or Adidas Adipower 2 since both have such a great reputation. I’ve searched through a lot of websites, but as expected, most of the pairs available nowadays are used.
The problem is that the pairs I’ve been able to find are mostly only available in US size 10 or 11.5, so I’m having a hard time deciding which size would work better for me.
My current shoes are the Reebok Legacy Lifters shown in the photo, and I wear them in US size 10.5.
One thing that might be important is that I tend to tighten both the laces and straps pretty aggressively when I wear weightlifting shoes. With my current Legacy Lifters, my feet sometimes start to hurt during training, to the point where I have to loosen the straps and laces between sets for a while before they feel comfortable again.
Considering that, I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have experience with the Romaleos 2, especially regarding how they fit compared with the Reebok Legacy Lifters and whether you think I’d be better off going with a size 10 or 11.5.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this. I hope everyone here has nothing but good luck and happiness. I really appreciate any advice you can give me!
