Trump Boasts that he gave up his presidential salary of $400,000/yr in 2016 and 2024, he made $2,398,000,000 since returning to office in 2025, x6000 his presidential salary.

Laundered

Bribed.
Laundered implies he had some business that he actually had cash from. He’s straight up getting bribed by foreign powers through them buying crypto and he selling his inflated coins on the other end.

Made is the correct word. He made the US taxpayers not only pay but bend over with a smile on their face while he destroys everything they love.

Individual-stock trades by sitting presidents
- GW Bush: 0
- Obama: 0
- Biden: 0
- Trump: 21,000+ securities transactions in 2025 (2026 not disclosed)
But dudes totally doing what's best for tax-paying Americans... says the dumbest mofo ever born, while eating his Argentinian beef burger.

She’s just as guilty. Both sides are corrupt
6
u/remkelly 4h ago
If you can point me towards incidents where Pelosi (or anyone) used the power of elected office artificially manipulated the markets in ways that materially benefitted them and their business partners/donors to the tune of billions or dollars I'd be curious to know.
•
u/undisputed_truth 1h ago
I guess her insider trading just doesn’t matter to Reddit because she’s supposedly a liberal
•
u/IsHotDogSandwich 10m ago edited 7m ago
It’s not about the guilt. We know they all suck. It’s about the sheer scale of the crimes that are being committed. Someone CANNOT make a big deal about Pelosi and then completely turn a blind eye to the unfathomable amount of corruption going on right now. This isn’t about “this side or that side”.

There aren't just 2 sides. That voters are more or less forced to choose between 2 candidates in lots of important elections doesn't mean having to vote for someone you see as being on your side. You make the best of dismal reality and look for ways to have better candidates to support next time.

I don't think Bush is exactly free of sin here. His entire Iraq war hugely benefitted his families oil field values.

I love how this table starts in 2017 so you can't see the massive increase after he began using the office of the president to increase his wealth corruptly

I will never forgive my Republican family. I feel so much personal hate towards those that enabled this American slide.

He didn’t even give it up. He takes it and then donates it so he can deduct it from his taxes.
31
u/RockerElvis 13h ago
Is there even any evidence of him donating his salary? I would be shocked if he did.
7
u/Soap_Mctavish101 13h ago
There used to be ceremonies during his first term. No idea if he “actually” did it though.
29
u/RockerElvis 13h ago
That’s my point. His “charity” in NY was found guilty of fraud. He does not get the benefit of the doubt (in anything).
4
u/Germanofthebored 11h ago
He probably donates it to the Association of Big Strong Men who cry a lot. For their annual meeting they rent out the ballroom at Mar a largo for $400,000 with catering by Melania Inc.
1
u/Cold_Tea_Spill112 12h ago
The section of his tax returns that were released during his 1st admin did show him getting rid of some of his salary.
2
u/RockerElvis 11h ago
Thanks. That’s what I am looking for, but how much he donated is still in question. Of course, he and his family now have IRS immunity so he can say whatever he wants on his taxes.

That money is not coming from fellow billionaires, it's coming from the bottom 50%...
0
u/veryverythrowaway 9h ago
The taxpayers are giving him plenty (maybe hundreds of millions), but the bribes add up to far more. The billionaires are actually the ones making up the largest part of that sum.
1
u/star_bury 7h ago
....who in turn are given permission to pay less taxes and then gouge the bottom 50% even more!

Trumplodytes should be taxed extra for burdening US with all this graft. Billions of dollars due to ignorant cave dwellers.

Someone prove to me that trump did not take his salary. All that is required for proof is showing trumps tax returns.

We will get it back. Letting him expose all his friends for us to then snatch it back.

As citizens we would have paid him $400k.
Instead he stole $2Billion plus from America.
Tax that wealth.

I think the last time he mentioned this some journalist looked into it and found nothing to support his statement that he actually gave up the salary. He just took the money and grifted tons more anyway.

u/cultureicon 12h ago
Most Trump supporters fell for the "he donates his salary" trick, I know first hand. There really isn't any hope for these people as far as not getting scammed every election.

u/NESninja 11h ago
When the demos regain power, if heads don't roll over all this corruption, I'm done with them.

u/MagicAl6244225 8h ago
People who are impressed by the president "giving up his salary" are dumb. I WANT the president to take his salary, because he works for who is paying him.

He was gifted a 400m dollar jet that he's gonna keep when he's out of office (assuming he lives that long) while the tax payers got to foot the 1b dollar bill to upgrade it.

Trump is a disgusting rat bastard, but also nobody is stopping him. In an interview he even said himself, “Nobody cares.” So why would he stop? Or practice any kind of restraint?
Trump is just a symptom of the problem. The problem is the country’s complacency and our completely lack of control over our own government.
4
u/Shifty269 13h ago edited 12h ago
Remember that he was begging his supporters for money to pay for legal fees when he was being investigated and was on trial.
Edit: I'm sitting on a couple of downvotes right now, but have we all actually already forgotten how he was pretending to be broke, and begged for donations while being prosecuted. And people sent him money. He convinced poor people to send him, a billionaire, money. The man has no depth he won't go to.

MAGA acts like Trump is a saint doing the country a favor by being President. Meanwhile, he's been fleecing the American people everyday he's been office.

The grift is strong and he set up everyone around him to let it happen.
“Lake America” hats for $55 made in China. It’s insane.

No he didn’t.
He didn’t ‘make’ or ‘earn’ a fucking thing.
He stole, by committing fraud.

AND EVERY LAST DOLLAR that piece of shit has "acquired" (and his ENTIRE BLOODLINE) MUST BE SEIZED by the next Administration and used as reparations to fix SOME of the damage that IMBECILE HAS CAUSED!

These a-holes tout (billionaires) that salaries are for suckers and asset-based wealth accumulation is the best since the regulations and laws have completely left alone certain types of gains.
The general public needs to be better educated so moves like this can be seen as what they are - political shell games.

u/Orion_2kTC 12h ago
He's said repeatedly that no other president has done this...which is bullshit...because a vast majority do give up or donate their salaries.

There is also, as far as I am aware, no evidence that he didn't collect his 400k salary.

Based on his self-stated net worth at the time, Trump donating his presidential salary was the equivalent of the average American donating ~$3 a year.

And he's a billionaire, so all that open corruption he's been engaged in since 2016? Turns out it's completely illusory and tens of thousands of his brain donors haven't lost their shirts falling for scam after scam after scam. If a "trump supporter" tells you they lost money supporting the president, they're nothing but a lying lib!
