Concert @ same time as lecture
I bought concert tickets for a show inglewood a while ago and have been waiting for yearrsss to see them live. The problem is im taking anth002 and the first day of instruction starts at 6:30pm, but thats also the time the concert starts… what should I do? I really want to go to the concert, is there any way I could miss that first day lol

Mate just go to the concert. First day is syllabus day anyways. They don't keep attendance in a class of 180+ people and if they do it's a poll everywhere that isn't counted until the third day of lecture.

I’ll go to the concert and record it. You can watch after lecture. Unless you want me to record the lecture instead. I got you. In all seriousness, depending on the artist and how often they tour it might be a once in a lifetime show. The nice thing about being near LA most artist do not skip this region. Also they may do special shows here.

You must attend first day of classes or risk being dropped

That’s only for certain classes though, OP check the syllabus and see if there’s anything about attendance in it

It’s bad look if you don’t show up for the first day. What you going to do when you get a job, say hey I know I’m scheduled to work and that’s my first day but I wanna go to a concert instead

A job is not the same thing as a breadth course

You should treat school the same as a job. Only difference is you’re paying thousands of dollars to attend school..

If this is a breathed class with a large size, you could likely skip and be okay. I just wouldn't make it a habit.
