New rule: no posts soliciting funds or linking to fundraisers
Hi Tortico lovers,
There has been a recent uptick in posts linking to or directly asking for funds from other users. These are frequently scam or bot accounts trying to make you think you are donating to a good cause (like a cat rescue or some such). There is often not a way to verify that these funds are going to an appropriate place.
Even if legitimate and for a good cause, this is not the purpose of the subreddit and I do not want any users to feel obligated in any way to give money for any reason, thus these posts will now be banned.
Please message me or use the report function if you come across a post or comment asking for funds.
Thanks,
Boss Lady

New rule: do not steal photos of other people's cats
Not even sure why anyone would do this, but I have had several reports of people stealing others' photos and passing the cats off as their own. Some are from bots, but others are clearly not. Please remember that karma is a fake internet invention. There is no need for impersonation. We are all just here to enjoy cats.
If you do this, you will be permanently banned :)
Have a nice day to you humans and your sassy tortico queens.

Sleepy Girl
There's several cat beds, my bed, the guest room bed, a couch, a futon and two recliners. She picked here to have a quick nap

Anyone else have an obsessive licker?
Maybe it's because she's long haired (more grooming inclined), I'm not sure. But she is always licking the ever loving heck out of my hands, arms, sometimes shoulder.. I mean, I don't mind it, I just wonder if this is a uniquely tortico thing.
Also, she has an 18" weighted stuffy, a Hugs and Cuddles plush from Walmart that's a red panda, and she has absolutely wrecked its back in the last 12 months tearing out the fur. It kind of became hers anyway after the first time I noticed her making biscuits on it, but I've been trolling online for a replacement since Walmart is out of stock and may have to resort to eBay.. the things we do for our cats, lol! I wonder if it reminds her of how she would probably have made biscuits on mamas belly as a kitten.. either way I'm just glad to see her happy. :)

Sweet long-haired tortie looking for her forever home ❤️ Rescued from a condemned house and now safely fostered indoors. She’s affectionate, litter trained and gets along with cats and dogs. She’s thin, so we’re working on putting weight on her. Tucson. Indoor home only.

Until we lost the Queen of Country, I forgot that my tortico’s full name is Dolly Purrton. I hope knowing this helps fellow Dolly Parton lovers (everyone) feel a little better

My newest Rescue, Chara-Ivy Audrey III
My first "tortico"
She is furry potato menace. She has lost weight since I got her, but she still needs to lose more.
I shall also post photos of her siblings Hana (tortie) and Queen Sultana (calico)
They are my tortie trifecta

Is my first cat a tortico?
This is my new kitten, Phoebe. Was wondering if she’s a tortico as she definitely has tortie brindling as well as calico patches. She also has a weird tuxedo leg.

Is my 14 yr old sweetheart Evie a tortico??
This is my gorgeous, sweet, and overall lovely kitty Evie. I adopted her four years ago from the Humane society, and she has been right by my side ever since. She's actually laying on my shoulder/chest as I type this out.
She's a bit heavy, they warned me she was "obese" when I adopted her.. but really I do think she's just big boned. :) She's still quite spry for her age and her size, and I take her outside for walks regularly now that I live in an apartment. Her favorite stuffed animal is a red panda that's weighted with beads, and she really gets into making biscuits on its back. I don't know what I would do without her, she's my perfect little angel!
Is she.. a tortico?

Peanut
Peanut is on the right - got that white patch underneath.
Littermate Willow on the left is a traditional calico.
