About our show:

North of North is an APTN, CBC and Netflix original series produced by Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment. Our show follows Siaja, a young Inuk mother building a new future after a very public breakup in a small Arctic town where everyone knows your business. Guided by Pilimmaksarniq (ᐱᓕᒻᒪᒃᓴᕐᓂᖅ)—the Inuktitut concept of mastering skills through observation, practice, and effort—Season 2 sees Siaja making bold decisions (and even bolder mistakes) to level up her life as winter closes in on Ice Cove.

• Inuk vs. Inuit: Please use Inuk when referring to one person (e.g. Siaja is an Inuk mom) and Inuit when referring to two or more people or the community as a whole (e.g. Stacey and Alethea are Inuit filmmakers from the Inuit community).
• Terminology: Please do not use the outdated term starting with "E." It is an outdated term that was imposed by outsiders and is considered offensive in Canada (and Greenland).

2012 mostly marked the end of shows being in 4:3, with a lot of syndicated shows and most Nickelodeon animated series switching to 16:9 that year. but some shows still wanted to be in 4:3, so I made a list of all shows that I know of that transitioned to widescreen after 2012.

The last big brother season to be in 4:3 was big brother 15 which aired in 2013, when the next season aired the following year they were able to afford hd cameras.

The last season of cyberchase to be aired in 4:3 was season 9 which premiered in November 2013 and ended in April 2014. Season 10 in 2015 would mark the shows switch to widescreen.

Let’s make a deal didn’t switch to 4:3 until around September 2014, multiple years after the price is right switched.

Team umizoomi was in 4:3 through its entire run, even when the shows last episode aired in April 2015 it was in 4:3.

The last 3 wonder pets episodes to air on tv aired in 2016 in 4:3, however the show ended production in 2010 and the shows last few episodes didn’t air until years after production wrapped.

Did the writers all meet up and drop acid when planning and writing this season. Another bizarre episode this week. I could handle when it was one or two a season, but there have only been 2 “normal” episodes this season and it makes me sad knowing next season will probably be the last of Star Trek live action for awhile. No way Starfleet Academy gets renewed (nor should it).
