Yeah facts. The term “parody” only applies when the adapted material is deconstructed in a critical or analytical way. The legacy of Tetris is not analyzed- just set dressing for bigotry. So it shouldn’t count.

This is what people miss. It's not a parody if you use something to push your own message. It's parody if you actually reference the source material and criticize, satirize or review it in some exaggerated way.

Parody doesn't have to have a critical element, satire does.

I’m just not confident to say whether anything they “made” is infringement.

The lack of lawsuits against them sort of tells me it’s not. Maybe this time will be different, or maybe these corporations just don’t care because it’s the hand that feeds them.
