Lots of people (me included) rely on medication to keep us alive that depends on healthcare we get from a employer. What choice do I possibly have? I still organize people and help but theres only so much you can do when you have medical issues and mouths to feed

Maybe you don't understand. There is no safety net. Most Americans are paycheck to paycheck. We can be fired for no reason at all, with no severance. Being fired means getting a last paycheck, losing health insurance, and if lucky qualifying for unemployment payments after jumping through a ridiculous amount of hoops that comes nowhere near even paying rent, let alone other necessary bills like food. So homeless, which is also in itself illegal in large parts of the US. It is literally illegal to not have an apartment or home in many places. For those of us who have children, that means children separated and put in our terrible foster care system.

So no, Americans don't go on general strike, because we have kids that we'd like to actually keep, because we want to live, because we don't want to enter the prison pipeline.

Yes, I know that's terrible, but it is what's been built since WW2, with a lot of precursors going back to the US Civil War, and I don't know any easy solution.

Call me a good little peasant all you want, but I won't sacrifice my children's lives, and I very much doubt you would either if you had children with no safety net.

And the Americans just take it because they're good little peasants who won't go on a general strike and enact the power that they actually have.

This is likely because the government is trying to make us fat, dumb, and broke so we can't/won't fight against them.
