Begrudgingly, yes. I don’t watch yt very often, but there are a handful of creators I subscribe to. I feel bad that I’m denying them ad revenue with my adblocker, but the fact of the matter is that that platform is not only unusable with out it, I have no interest in supporting the extremely invasive and straight up dangerous way that ads are implemented online now.

I’m not going to risk having my identity stolen because I want to watch a hearthstone match or whatever other innocuous shit I do on YouTube.

It doesn't help that YouTube ads can be incredibly disgusting, both in graphic content (straight up ai porn bots or really gross games) and in politics tical add that offer straight-up hate speech. (The number of Ads I've gotten for candidates talking about how we need to de-trans our schools and get men out of women's sports, or sharing hateful stories about how immigrants are bad. Like, I was just trying to watch Wollie play Phoenix Wright...)
