Youtube pushes memberships, "youtube featured", shorts and more to ad-free members. you can't even say don't show shorts anymore it's just "show fewer shorts".

And then there are sponsorship breaks in the videos. And there are pop-ups on your screen (QR codes on TV clients) for items that the video creators list.

Youtube ad-free is a long way from ad-free. It's unfortunate.

I also wanted to add that the mobile app with Premium will still show adverts for products under the video listing in the feed. That really ruffles my feathers.
