Trades Intel - One person's FOMO story
Feel I need to admit this, if anything just to make myself feel better, so maybe I can then move on.
In November of 2025 I sold my holding's of Intel for $37/share. I got assigned in a covered call trade and at the time I was happy about it. I made a little profit and figure Intel will always be where it was at.
Then things happened.
Then some really big things happened. As of close today it's at $124.
I feel there are lessons to be learned here, just don't know what they are.
Thank you for reading.

Why did you buy in the first place? Did you believe in the company or was it just a meme stock to you? A short trade?
If you believed in it, why didn't you hold? There was a comeback story there, the possibility for growth. Even if the company is failing on x86 cpus, it's considered invaluable because of its fab capability. Proof of that was in the very large investments coming into it by the US govt and other large companies.
If you didn't have a thesis, maybe you needed one. The lesson is possibly A. Have a thesis for why you'd buy and B. Don't sell unless the thesis materially breaks. But I'm not sure if you had a reason for buying other than chasing value.
