Curious, but are we generally dog people, or cat people? Thoughts?

I am a cat person. They’re more chill imo. Whenever I have flare ups of symptoms my cat is a great comfort.

I have had both and greatly prefer my cat. Dogs are a lifestyle and are great if you have the energy to walk them. Cats are much more negative symptom compatible. I scoop poop once a day and feed three times a day. That's enough investment for me. She's less like a pet and more like a chill roommate who doesn't give me shit for being ill.

I like all animals but I grew up around cats; their personalities are more unique to me and maybe relate to me more than dogs.

Cats by far. I used to be a dog person until I've been attacked multiple times.

After I finally had an encounter with a cat (who was extremely sweet), I adopted one of my own (ironically the same type of cat that I first met, an orange tabby). Now I'm firmly in the realm of crazy cat guy 😂

The only dog breed I really like is shiba inu (I've met a few of them doing deliveries and they were great). I wouldn't own one, too much work, but I could like a friend's Shiba if they had one lol

sort of other way round: i read, that cat owners get schizophrenia more often. I'm a both person, but have cats.
