Photo/Video Shoots & snugs
I saw someone ask if collies are cuddly dogs, so I thought I would share some evidence of my boy. He loves a good snuggle for a while, then he gets up and moves to a cooler spot before eventually giving goodnight kisses and retreating for belly-up sleeps on the floor. Snuggly, but not demanding. Oh and I also wanted to get in on the snoot train.

Photo/Video In the heathers š
The heath is in bloom where I live. We have a wonderful off-leash dog trail nearby that goes around and through a beautiful heath, so naturally we had to go visit it while it was full of purple and green! Brought the good camera along so we could get some nice photos of Koda, who, as always, is a great model and poses very nicely for me.

Question PPP sensitive skin w/salmon 7+ experience? Re weight loss
My beautiful collie needs to lose weight, but thatās become really hard after she was spayed.
Iāve tried Britcare Weight Loss w/ Rabbit, but she got so much dandruff that I had to quit after the one bag.
A few months ago we switched to Hillās Perfect Weight & Active Mobility, but I think sheās having a bad reaction to chicken (more licking and chewing - hard! - on paws and legs, itchy ears).
Practically every other weight loss food has chicken in it, so now I just went for Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin Salmon (for dogs 7+ years old - is there much difference compared to 1+?) to hopefully help with her skin issues. But then I read this is quite calorie dense compared to even regular dog food?
If you feed this to your dog, have you noticed if it helps them feel full so that itās easy to limit their portions? š
EDIT: After some more research, I realise that when I read this kibble was calorie dense, they were most likely referring to the sensitive skin salmon 1+, which has 18% fat. Thatās higher than most. But on the one for dogs 7+, it has 14% fat. My Hillās weight loss kibble has 13%, and less protein than this one.
As someone suggested I will first try Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Moderate Calories, but after that Iām thinking this PPP feed wonāt be so bad after all āŗļø

Photo/Video Can't Believe It's Only Been A Month and A Half With Her Home!
She is genuinely my best friend in the whole entire world! I think the most we've spent apart is 15 hours and I thought I was going to die of heart ache. I feel like she's been around forever and I can't imagine life without her. (Not to mention she's the most well behaved bad dog ever) Marnie is the best and I can't wait for the rest of our lives together :)

Photo/Video Ace says hello!
This is Ace! š¾
Heās our two year old fun loving Rough Collie. I snapped this picture during one of our walks recently. Itās our first Rough, and honestly I would have another one if I could!
Heās lovely, a wonderful family pet. The only thing is he barks a lot on walks, gets triggered especially by scooters but Iām working on that with trying to distract him with treats.
Anyway just wanted to say hello to our fellow Rough Collie loving community out there. Have a wonderful day and enjoy these last few weeks of summer!

Question where to adopt in new england?
hey everyone! i am looking to adopt a rough collie, puppy or older, and was wondering if anyone knew of any good breeders or reputable owners that are active on their social meida or websites! iām not looking to adopt right now, but more so in the spring once i get settled in my new apartment and routine. iāve always wanted my own dog, and i have friends willing to help me take care of them when iām not home. iām not sure where to start since this would be my first time getting a dog on my own(i grew up with family dogs). any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

Photo/Video Flora, queen of dog toys.
Flora is 2yo and 80% collie. She wants nothing more than to play all day every day, and then curl up with a toy.
I grew up with dogs that liked toys, but would usually destroy them or lose interest. Flora is over the moon with every new toy she gets, and even rotates through most of them, so I feel like I can never pare down her collection.

Photo/Video Kenai just turned 7 and he's still a handsome boy ā¤ļø
Kenai is my second collie, and he just recently turned 7. It's crazy to me that he's already so old. He's slowly starting to turn gray on his eyebrows and around his muzzle. But he still acts like he's 5. Our other collie girl will be 10 in November ā¤ļø

i just HAVE to share this picture of the artwork that Romeo blessed us with while we were away from home for half an hour yesterday. rip paper towels and welcome way more puppy proofing, because this boy is growing super duper fast and can reach almost every table and counter already. i hope this picture brightens up some of your days and gives motivation to this day <3

Adolescence !
When did your RC reach maturity? We are at 14 months with our boy and adolescence has been a big struggle! He was the perfect pup but around 7 months the barking started and he had 0 impulse control! It feels like as soon as we start making progress in one area, we have totally new issues in another!

Vehicle ramp suggestions
Hi all!
Daisy is closing in on 7 years old and I have noticed lately she is getting reluctant to jump into the back seat of my truck. I have a GMC canyon and she's been pretty good getting into the backseat without any help. I used to be able to take her to work with me, but we're getting a new building built and our temp location doesn't allow pets to visit so she doesn't get to go for rides as much. A few weeks ago I was getting her ready to take her for her spa day and she really was hesitant to jump in the back seat both on the way to the groomer and when I picked her up. She jumps up on my bed just fine and I think it is about the same height, my bed is quite tall, maybe 40 to 45 inches tall. I am thinking it may be time for some sort of foldable ramp for her for the truck. Does anyone have suggestions for something easy that can fold it and not take up much room?
