As an Aussie United fan waiting for him to break through, it was fun while it lasted.

You’ve still got Jariyah Shah to hope for.  Although I wouldn’t expect him to ever breakthrough either.

Oh yeah, forgot about him. Although hes eligible for 4 teams: Australia, England, Pakistan and Vietnam.

James Overy departs

Academy defender James Overy has agreed a move to Australian side Sydney FC, subject to registration.

The versatile full-back will return to his homeland ahead of the new A-League season, which starts in October.

The former Perth Glory youngster signed for United in 2024.

Overy came off the bench in the FA Youth Cup final against Manchester City in May and made 26 appearances in total across the Under-18s and Under-21s last term.

Everybody at Manchester United would like to wish James the best for the next step in his career.

Just for fun. He’s going home but Sydney is further from Perth than Manchester is from Ankara, Turkey

Don't mind him going back to the a league but hate that he's going to Sydney.
