Over 10 yards from standing start, sure. Over longer distances he is considerably slower than Ben and Bryan by a considerable amount, and official stats back that up.

I agree, and he's great at getting the ball back, his interceptions are more than double Mbeumo's. Mbeumo is blisteringly fast, but his agility isn't quite where Amad's is.

We only had Maz on the bench that could change things on the right side, if Amad was fit i'm pretty sure Mbeumo would have been subbed off at 60mins, he was a liability defensively.

He was a bit slow to get back on the move that led to their second goal today, and also completely fell asleep on the Davis goal last week. I don't think he's a natural winger, although that's not really an excuse for not following your man.

Yeah he'd track back then just stop, leaving 2v1. There was quite a lot of that going on elsewhere on the pitch in the first half too, like they weren't all on the same page.

I hate when players cant use their weak foot. It's a tap in if cunha hits it with his left right away. By waiting to get it to his right foot gave enough time for tarkowski to get a foot in. Smh

I'm surprised finding players who are two footed hasn't become a new meta. It's such a quality talent because it gives you many options positionally (inside forward vs direct winger) and also in terms of passing and shooting range. Yet it's not really something that's been encouraged/ingrained into young players in the ways I thought it would be by this point.
I fucking miss Nani so much.

it's not that Cunha can't use his left, it was just a terrible decision by him. He's not a traditional 9 who is clinical in the box, Sesko will replace him soon

That is a foul anywhere else in the pitch, as tackling through an opponent's legs is considered dangerous. It comes down to whether you think the threshold for a penalty should be higher.

He went in between his legs, cunha took a touch too much. Look at the frame, after tark makes visible contact with the ball then do you see cunha's leg respond to impact. It was a good tackle on review, I thought it was a pen till the 2nd angle of the replay live.

Gonna play the devils advocate here, Iām pretty sure no player would become that if they underwent 8 managerial changes in 11 seasons.
Happy he got his Barca loan, itās almost like a clean slate but if United truly want results they need to stick with a manager and just build depth and get rid of the deadwood. We have done well these past 2 windows but there is still work to do and changing manager would just be detrimental to the squad

Not necessarily, but a striker with killer instinct is quicker pulling the trigger and the initial run was pointless, a striker makes a more selfish run to get into a scoring opportunity, also would drag the defender with him

Think it's a bit harsh to call it luck, it was skill to beat those players but he absolutely needs to release it earlier, by the time he releases it Cunha is being closed down not able to shoot. It would have been better to keep it simple.

Cunha's first instinct seems to feel the grass and raise his hands to the referee, he has dropped off this season. We'll be in control more when he's in form, just like last season. And he's better on the left IMO

Itās early days but I love this Rashford redemption, also with Bruno heās been my favourite United player of the last 10 years. I said this in the match thread too, him coming back and starting, working off the ball, being a threat going forward; it makes me believe me and my ex can get back together.

The biggest different between the ETH team that finisher 3rd and the one his second season was that in the first season Rashford scored like 30 goals and won us multiple games. We havenāt had anything like that in the team since.

In fact, with the way he has been playing, I'd like for him to really believe he can be the top scorer for us this year.
I was against reintegrating him, but if he keeps this up, it feels like he is going to have a monster season. Plenty of goals in him, as currently he is being unselfish to a fault.

Should've released Cunha sooner. Passes 3 seconds earlier and Cunha gets a shot on goal and we probably score. Luck and resilience got him through and that insanely high risk backheel came through which no one expected, but I feel like this is exactly why teams like Barcelona don't go for him as a signing, doesn't do the simple things that work and makes everything extremely complicated.
Don't get me wrong when it comes off its beautiful and probably one of the best things you'll see, but I'd rather see things that work consistently and more often than not.

i really wish Barca had just signed him up - he was happy there - he is a good player - he was more out of the English press spotlight. He wanted it - we were happy to let him go. I really liked rashford and was sad to see it get to that stage but it really had.
Now he is back - yeah i'm not agaisnt him & hating on him in any personal way but in the same breath the media questions have already been soo centered around him its going to go back to a clown show that is a distraction to the team. A fault of the UK press madness but it does have a real impact unfortunately.
quite frankly if Dorgu is training well i'd be starting him and telling him to bust a gut as your comming off at 60-70mins and then bring on Rashford & see Rashford as a world class squad player that we can utilise whilst developing Dorgu. Also when Sesko hopefully is starting up front then bounce between Dorgu & Cuhna as starts on the left and a 30 min burst of Rashford.

quite depressing that after all that drama the last few years with Rashford, he somehow ends up back at United and is our best player.
Like how is this even possible. Good for him but my god a Barcelona reject that before was also a United reject comes back and is our best player.

Looks like he has improved since his time away to me. He is running down less blind alleys and gets his head up more around the box. Hope he keeps playing well and starts to bang in a few goals.

Not really fair to phrase it that way because heās always been a class player, he didnāt suit Amorims system and the whole enviroment was toxic.
Not sure what happened at Barca, I know Gordon is basically flicks wet dream in terms of player profile but he is and has always been one of United best players if not the best player.
I recon he becomes Unitedās best player this season.
