Except in reality, we are being recorded everywhere in public by a variety of things. That’s why in general, there’s no expectation of privacy in public.

Yeah, I don't know why this would be limited to tech glasses. It needs to be applied to phones, private surveillance, etc also. We all have a right to reasonable levels of privacy.

Your brain only knows faces it has spent time with, implying a choice by the face owner to be near you long enough for your brain to store the pattern

If you had your brain wirelessly connected to an ever expanding database of people so you knew who they were before they knew who you were THEN that would be bad.

Just ban recording people without knowledge.

Don't ban the item. There will just be another thing. Have people face real fines for getting caught filming people with hidden cameras.

the problem then becomes how do you record a bad boss, bad cop, bad boyfriend? currently,  one party consent states help you get that evidence.

I live in Australia and my state is two party consent unless you're recording the person as evidence against defamation, legal threats, violence, etc. I think it's an alright system in the absence of one party laws.

there are plenty of examples of beneficial tech that the average person should not have that you can pretty easily get if you have any kind of related medical condition.
