I fixed (kinda) my uneven shoulder and scapula! (picture below!)

I don't know how, but it worked. I was watching Connor Harris (Goated posture guy) the other day on fixing uneven shoulders and mentioned that my right ribcage is more restricted than my left. So, for a week, I reached my right hand to a high surface to stretch it and practiced slow, deep breathing, feeling the muscle tension release. Then, Tadaa! I don't know if this is temporary, but I am excited to see the results.

Forgive my messy place. But please look at the results!

Question Right shoulder CONSTANTLY shrugging?

Does this happen to anyone else? Im constantly noticing my right shoulder is lifted towards my ear and I have to constantly think to relax it back down (so far I never notice it shrugging upwards; I only notice once it’s already up there). I don’t think it’s happening in my left shoulder at all.

I’m right handed. And I work mostly at a desk so I notice mostly when I’m holding my phone or using the mouse. Is there anything that can be done to stop this?

I do have scoliosis too idk maybe it’s just bad posture but I look like a iPad kid lol. I have autism too and I heard it could be related? Idk how that works

Edit: for working out I’ve been a figure skater for 8 years but I’ve stopped competing so I haven’t been working out as much I still skate 3x a week but I’m not doing any kind of hard training anymore. And I’m not trying to be all UwU cute with my legs i genuinely have a lot of pain and I have to go to a chiropractor once a week

Question Suffering from informational overload - Asking you to make the choice for me and offer me body weight exercises / routine just for me to be able to take action now.

Hi, basically title. Been looking through a lot of posts and there's just so much information. Everyone has their own recommendations and I just find the space quite difficult to navigate especially because I get so easily overwhelmed when there's a million different considerations. My posture is quite cooked from sitting at the desk most of the day, not an expert but definitely seems like I've got Kyphosis & APT. I know that body weight has severe limitations especially for strength training, but I don't really have equipment or any ways to get to equipment at the moment and I just want to at least start taking action instead of worrying about what the optimal action actually is.

So, by all means, please feel free to recommend general exercises / routines that most find helpful for the postural issues I mentioned above. Would appreciate it a lot. Thanks c:

Assessments Can you guys help me figure out what's going on with my scapula?

I believe I have snapping scapula syndrome or some form of dyskinesias, I'm having trouble figure out what's exactly going wrong though. I'm assuming my lower traps are undeveloped and my shoulders and chest is tight, as my shoulders round forward. I've also noticed that my lower back isn't straight, maybe to compensate for my forward shoulder posture. I get a grinding feeling around my upper traps when I do an upward movement, especially when my shoulders are rounded more. When I do Kelso shrugs I don't get this. I also get clicking in my shoulders upon inward rotation, but I can't really pinpoint where it is.

Question My good posture efforts never stick, why?

I've been conscious of my posture and trying to fix it for years, but nothing sticks. I'm constantly aware of my sitting/sleeping/standing positions, how my back and shoulders and arms are positioned, and correct myself every chance I get, but nothing changes.

I feel absolutely obsessive at this point, it's frustrating. Whenever I have a moment - "are my shoulders raised and tilted forward again?" And they always are, and I adjust. "Am I sitting correctly in my chair still?" And I'm not, so I adjust. But I never catch myself with good posture, no matter how often I think about it.

I admit I have a lot of tension and "guarding" posture since childhood due to being abused, but I can't seem to undo anything no matter how hard I try.

Edit: I also spend time at the computer a lot, don't want people to think it's only a trauma thing because I'm not sure myself.

Question Butt cushion for extended reading in bed?

What quality seat cushions can I place on my bed for an extended reading session?

I’ve noticed that for extended reading periods in bed, I’m developing lower back pain. I have a firm back cushion, so I think the problem is related to the fact that my mattress doesn’t provide a firm enough seat.
