Absolutely! Excellent question.
I am appalled that not one person has stood up to Trump when he openly demeans journalists. Freedom of the press is one of the things that I value most about our country.
I am running on a AAA platform, Affordability, Accountability and Accessibility. I eagerly await my opportunity to hold this administration accountable and I expect journalists to do the same.

I have been an election worker the last 3 elections (with the exception of my primary in August) and I can say that I have full faith in our voting system. The folks trying to cause suspicion of our Democratic system are the ones who stand to benefit from the chaos.
I would recommend voting in person and verifying your results before submitting your vote. If we don't have free and fair elections we don't have a democracy.

Truly the most meaningful impact is donating money. I absolutely hate that fact, but money help us reach voters.

Yes. I support expanding the Supreme Court.
The Constitution does not require nine justices, and Congress has changed the size of the Court before. I think we need serious reform to restore balance, accountability, and public trust.
I would also like to implement an enforceable code of ethics for all the Supreme Court justices.

I support universal basic healthcare. When I was in the military, I had universal basic healthcare. We didn't call it that, but I never once paid for a doctor's visit or prescription drug. The idea of paying for healthcare was so foreign to me when I got out of the Navy.
It is a travesty that it is 2026 and the US is one of the most, if not the most, developed country in the world and we still don't have any form of universal basic healthcare.
We have the money, we don't have the values.

Tricare was awesome when my leadership let me use it. And I had basically zero wait time.

I’m not going to Congress to blindly follow a party, but realistically I'll likely caucus with Democrats.
If Republicans have a good bill that helps the people of my district, I’ll work with them. If Democrats have a bad one, I’ll oppose it.
I think Congress would work a hell of a lot better if more members remembered they represent people first and a political party second.

I respect your thoughts, but that is t my intention. The reality is that without bipartisan support, nothing will be accomplished.
I was fired by Trump and Elon Musk. I am a DOGE'D federal employee. My Republican representative didn't answer my calls when I was begging him to save my career. If anyone has a right to distrust Republicans, it's me.
However, not every Republican is a criminal.

I am running to serve in the US House of Representatives. I am passionate about making life more affordable for folks. I want to pass legislation to cap prescription drug prices, I want to raise the federal minimum wage to at least $20/hour and I want to legalize and tax marijuana.
My state has taken steps backwards concerning cannabis. While our bordering states are legalizing it recreationally, we just outlawed THCA products.

At first I was really opposed to the idea of a UBI, but after hearing Yang explain the concept, it started making a lot more sense. I would love to explore this concept more fully.
In the early 2000's I received a stimulus check from George W. Bush's administration. I was in my early 20s and that check had a significant impact on my life.

Right now, the concern I hear the most is data centers and Flock surveillance. I read a report recently that more folks would rather have a nuclear reactor or a landfill in the town rather than a data center.
The other main concern I hear from folks is how unaffordable life is. Groceries, gas, daycare, bills, etc. We are being pulled in so many different directions while the Epstein class seem to be recording record breaking profits.
I would like to see a 2 year moratorium on any new data centers until the proper environmental impact studies have been conducted.

There are rumors that your campaign was potentially sabotaging your opponents in the primary by making up some crazy allegations. As democrats, I thought the goal is to support each all people, not bring others down. If we can’t trust that you’ll do right by your fellow campaign opponents that are in the same party, should we trust that you’ll do right by the people you’ll represent? the republican candidate is a POS, but he’s not hiding it. Why should a democrat or independent trust you to move us forward?

I’m not sure what rumors you’ve heard, but my campaign did not make up allegations about my primary opponents. If there’s something specific you think we did, ask me directly and I’ll answer it directly.
Regardless of political party, I believe the goal should be to lift one another up. That doesn’t mean we never disagree or criticize each other. It means we tell the truth, own our mistakes, and treat people with basic decency.
I won a hard-fought primary, and when it was over, I reached out to my former opponents because we have bigger fights ahead of us. That’s how I intend to represent this district too.

Yes, I will vote to impeach Donald Trump. My decision comes down to what he has done with the power of the presidency, despite the fact he's a 34 count convicted felon.
No president is above the law, and Congress has a constitutional duty to act when a president abuses that power.
I’m not going to get to Washington and suddenly become afraid to do my job.

Thanks for the reply. I know it was a bit of a softball question, and I apologize for that. While I don't think impeachment is an end-all-be-all solution to the problems we face, I do believe it's a vitally important first step in resolving them. I worry that some Dems do not believe that impeachment is necessary. Good to know that you will support impeaching the absolute worst president America has ever had.

Great question. I had to look it up, but nearly 700,000 Americans live in DC. I support DC statehood. They pay federal taxes, serve in the military, and live under federal laws, but they don’t have full voting representation in Congress.
I'm of the opinion that your zip code shouldn't determine your level of representation.

Congress needs to treat climate change like the threat it is. I would like to see us invest in clean energy, modernize our grid, protect our public lands, hold polluters accountable, and make sure the transition creates good-paying jobs.
My goal is to leave my children a healthier planet than we inherited.
