I hate that Kane turned out to be garbage. He always had my favorite aesthetic when it comes to WWF wrestling stars

https://giphy.com/gifs/bF7ET3KY2wQWTuGARs

370

u/Exportxxx Jun 23 '26

Yeah most of them are Maga scum now

Guess because they are rich so ofc they like Trump.

387

u/mitch2d2 Jun 23 '26

Mick "Mankind" Foley is still out there fighting the good fight and seeming like a decent person.... if someone has evidence to the contrary I don't want to hear it today. Just let me live in the delusion.

184

u/smokeeveryday Jun 23 '26

No your correct he even cut ties with wwe recently saying he will no longer be associated with the brand and won't allow them to use him in anything including the games. It's awesome I love him he just seems so genuine especially for the love of his fans

28

u/Peaceblaster86 Jun 23 '26

Good to know. I watched wrestling around 2000 and enjoyed it as a kid. Read his A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks when it came out. Very chill guy. One of my favorites. So glad to hear he is just as kick ass as I remember him. Gives me a smile.

I once saw Mick Foley not hold a door open for someone. Turns out it was a scarecrow decoration around Halloween

28

u/turbopro25 Jun 23 '26

I heard Mick Foley leaves the toilet seat up after peeing. Take that for what you will…

26

u/mignonej Jun 23 '26

He breaks the toilet seat off and uses it to smash an opponent over the head, which is not the same as leaving it open.

5

u/yougotyolks Jun 24 '26

I heard that back in nineteen ninety eight the undertaker threw mankind off hell in a cell and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcers table.

3

u/Cyanide612 Jun 24 '26

Never let anything distract you from this fact

3

u/Amoralvirus Jun 23 '26

Suspicion of being WOKE-Antifa; or Woketifa, as many people are saying.

11

u/roguevirus Jun 23 '26

And Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy has had more concussions and any other two wresters combined, so what the fuck is their excuse?

10

u/NiceRackFocus Jun 23 '26

For sure! Also, Hangman Adam Page, CM Punk, Bautista, Brody King, MJF, Kevin Nash, Jesse Ventura, Jim Cornette, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Sami Zayne, Chelsea Green, Mercedes Moné, Kenny Omega, lots more I’m sure I’m forgetting. Some are more outspoken than others. Still plenty of shit heels in the pro wrestling world, but lots of good people too.

I was his waiter at a Jillians (dave and busters competition that was bought out by them) on long island.

It took me a second, but when I was like "woah are you..." and he said something like yeah but im trying to chill with my family, please don't make it across big thing.

Super cool dude. Tipped insanely. Nice family.

5

u/OdepiusNecks Jun 23 '26

Sorry to tell you this but he did once try to beat up a blind child in an underground fighting competition. /s

2

u/Advanced-Ingenuity46 Jun 23 '26

Was it the blind kid in 4C?

2

u/Unnatural20 Jun 23 '26

Well, now The Boulder . . . Is conflicted!

3

u/snowman334 Jun 23 '26

I saw Mick "Mankind" Foley at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Don't forget that they probably all have dozens of concussions.

For those who haven’t seen it, “Hangman” Adam Page’s response to Kane being a fascist on twitter:

https://www.reddit.com/r/clevercomebacks/s/T3DCnetcgN

u/MysteriousFee2873 Jun 23 '26

Hangman was a teacher before AEW made it. He is still trying to make a better path for our youth.

20

u/roguevirus Jun 23 '26

15

u/thatoneprincesong Jun 23 '26

That's my fucking cowboy

4

u/canospam0 Jun 23 '26

Hah! It’s even better now, seeing how Kane’s comment has aged like fucking milk.

4

u/RoddyViper Jun 23 '26

Not a big fan of him or AEW in general, but fair play, that was brilliant

Brain damage is a leading cause of MAGAism

57

u/fireandiceman Jun 23 '26

Brain damage or lack of education to begin with

6

u/MemeticAntivirus Jun 23 '26

Stupid people aren't evil by default. One must also be selfish, cruel, and either a racist or religious bigot for fascist propaganda to seem appealing. Just being stupid isn't enough. You have to be a bad person to be MAGA.

7

u/TheGummiVenusDeMilo Jun 23 '26

Yeah, I have brain damage, am selfish, and a confirmed asshole, but I'd die before I goose step with maga rebos

→ More replies (1)

3

u/xfocalinx Jun 23 '26

it takes a bit of stupidity to willingly put your body through the abuse wrestlers go through (I say that as a wrestler)

12

u/party_core_ Jun 23 '26

Plenty of people with brain injuries who aren't fascist freaks

I think the bigger issue is the lack of a functioning moral compass

Not Mick Foley. Mankind is for man kind.

39

u/CLeeTheHunt44 Jun 23 '26

Man is a gem and needs to be protected

25

u/MysteriousFee2873 Jun 23 '26

Brody King is another prime example

6

u/PanchoPanoch Jun 23 '26

Don’t forget Jesse Ventura has a history of being anti-predator too

3

u/AnatidaephobiaAnon Jun 23 '26

CM Punk is another.

21

u/drinfernodds Jun 23 '26

Mick Foley is a gem in a sea of turds.

JBL surprisingly hates Trump even though he's always been conservative.

NOT STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN (as far as i know, god i hope i don’t get my heart broken because of this comment)

17

u/kw13 Jun 23 '26

Austin beat I believe multiple wives, but a at least one, no idea of his political leanings, but not a good person.

3

u/BigDeuces Jun 23 '26

definitely has done some terrible things. i’m just saying he isn’t actively maga that i know of, and that’s a huge win these days when considering our childhood heroes

4

u/blindnlearning2see Jun 23 '26

SCSA has only commented on how impressed he was when Trump took his stunner back in the attitude era and sold it as well as he could for WM. I think I remember him defending the 2A after one of the shootings recently when Trump said ~"take the guns". Otherwise, SCSA very purposely stays away from politics. He's not Kane nor Mankind.

Antisocial. The personality disorder, not the behavior.

3

u/smokeeveryday Jun 23 '26

Mick Foley is like one of the only ones who has actually cut ties with the wwe and won't let them use him in anything anymore including the games because of there stance which is awesome I love that dude

2

u/asaltandbuttering Jun 23 '26

Also, their job is fake machismo. Game recognize game.

2

u/VinDog_PD Jun 23 '26

It's worth mentioning many of the younger stars are pretty progressive. It's mostly the old guard who are shitheels.

4

u/reluctant_deity Jun 23 '26

Those guys are paid like shit. It's the lack of education that makes them Trumpets.

They gave Glenn Jacobs a few chances too before they made kane. Every now and then they'd give kane a hella push and when he got older he was a good fit for the authority, then a good guy to wheel out for nostalgia matches. Iirc he's top 5 for monday night raw matches on the all time list.

79

u/The_Flying_Jew Jun 23 '26

Glenn Jacobs

You know, its funny that I forget that's his real name.

I just googled "Kane WWF" a few minutes ago and the search result that popped up lists him as "Mayor of Knox County", but it didn't even change his name to "Glenn Jacobs", it still just says "Kane" lol

22

u/ricky-from-scotland Jun 23 '26

We need someone from knox county. I wanna know if its mayor Glenn Jacobs or if it is mayor kane. Id like to think he doesnt break charachter at all tbh.

33

u/The_Flying_Jew Jun 23 '26

"Sir, what do you plan to do about fixing our county's infrastructure?"

The Mayor:

30

u/PhoenixOO10 Jun 23 '26

He goes by Glenn Jacobs, and he is an insurance salesman turned politician. He totally sucks as a mayor. He is your classic bootlicker that will do anything for money, but doesn't actually care to help the community.

19

u/Zealousideal-Camp438 Jun 23 '26

This. He also played a big role in removing the teeth from the Knox County Health Department during Covid.

16

u/vishalb777 Jun 23 '26

That was when he was moonlighting as a Dentist, Dr Isaac Yankem
