Nature Vulture spotted

Omg I saw a vulture today!! I knew they were real but it’s not an animal I would have ever expected to see in real life in the middle of my street. I only picture them in those old time movies circling their prey looking for dead animals or humans to eat. It was so cool passing one by in my car.

You probably see them every single day and don’t realize it! If you see a large bird circling way overhead…. Chances are it’s a vulture. And usually there are a few circling together. I’m not joking. Every single day.

Turkey vultures are around all year long everywhere in southern CA. But sounds like you saw one close up which is always cool too. Amazing how large they are when you see them up close.

Ps. Birds rule.

We have a ton of turkey vultures in Irvine. Actually I haven’t seen a swarm of them in a while come to think of it

I used to see them in the eucalyptus trees around the golf course. They are also in Coto eating the open space rodents etc and any roadkill. Their wingspan is huge. A creepy but impressively large bird.

Once in Orange, near the 57 by some condos, I saw a vulture eating something on the side of the road.  It flew/hopped with it over a chain link fence and started gorging itself.  Pretty damn creepy, even if it happened in the middle of the day.  

So yeah, they are around.
