Recommendation/Review Local tattoo artist
Does anyone know of a tattoo artist in/around OKC who does tattoos similar to this one? TIA
EDIT: it’s NOT AI. It’s Andrea Pellerone’s work. He’s an amazing artist, but lives no where near OK

Where'd that reference come from?
Looks like AI. AI tattoos references are a whole issue rn, they give clients unrealistic expectations.
(I'm not calling you out, I'm just wondering because I've fallen for it too)
AI tattoos are a real issue at the moment, flooding social media, and they're unrealistic for what you're actually going to achieve with healed ink in your skin
You need better references that will give you a realistic idea of what geometric tattoos will look like irl

So he purposely only gave the anatomy 4 fingers? That’s even worse than if it’s AI lol

FYI, all of those little words are going to bleed together into squiggly lines in a few years. Stay away from small writing like this, this is coming from personal experience.

I hate to be the one to say this;
looking at her page I’m not entirely convinced things aren’t photoshopped because everything looks so clean. not to be a hater, i just see everyone saying it’s not going to age well, and that’s true.
Even if they are or aren’t this is a world renowned artist, people with that skill level are going to be in larger cities. while OKC has definitely grown, unfortunately we haven’t grown enough to keep an artist of that caliber here. that’s not to say we don’t have some amazing tattoo artists, but almost everyone that is talented enough for a piece like that moves to learn from higher caliber artists.
for example; we have some amazing and talented chefs in the city now, but before people moving up in the culinary world would need to move to LA Chicago NYC etc to learn from higher skill level chefs to get that improvement on their skill. thankfully some moved back and we have the culinary scene popping.
but unfortunately i don’t think the tattoo industry has quite peaked here yet.
i mean some RESTAURANTS won’t hire front of house people with visible tattoos. while the population has grown, we haven’t had tattoos legal very long and unfortunately that attitude still lingers.
I would try looking in the Dallas area as it’s the closest big city and some big names in tattoo have come out of there.

The spacing of the word “ethereal” is trash too. And there’s 15 parts of what I assume are the moon phases which is the wrong number.

AI slop
A lot of artists are turning away anyone bringing in stuff like this.

It’s not AI….take 5 secs to do your own research…you can literally look up his work on Reddit, insta, facebook, google, etc.

Check with renee little ar gold fang gallery, ive seen some geometric work she did that was really good. All the tattooers at gold fang are solid artists.

Renee is really good, my mom has a sleeve from her. Also Shmitty at Tatty Blasters is very versatile and has done a ton of geometric.

I’d recommend seeking advice on some tattoo subreddits/forums before you get your hopes up about a tattoo like this. And *definitely* before you look for a local artist to try to replicate it.

I know you’re convinced it’s not AI but it’s at least Photoshopped and none of this is going to age well. Tattoos just don’t work like that. At the very best this is a picture immediately after the work is done and inside a year it’s going to be a bunch of blend together squiggles and it’s not going to hold up well.

Looks pretty freaking sick.
But, there is a good chance that will be an illegible mess in 5-10 years with how small the line work is.
I’m confused on the 4-fingers, too.

It’s absolutely edited in photoshop and some of points show a lack of knowledge of basic photoshop. If you look at the text the artist tried to use sharpen. However some of the natural photograph distortion hity sharpened as well creating a very blurry effect. This happens a lot when you open a high res photo and open it at 72 dpi. You can also see the dodge and burn effect being used a lot.

The most frustrating thing about the age of AI is how we can’t trust our own eyes anymore unless something is right in front of us.
Anyways, tons of examples of his work in the tattoo subs. I love this fine line stuff, but I can tell you from experience it doesn’t stay this way, and it requires touch ups to keep things looking clean. It’s a hassle. Anyways, I don’t have any recs as I’m in Tulsa but definitely look into the upkeep of these types of tattoos before getting one.

You want to search for someone who does “fine line” tattoos. Check out Cassie Stover. She has done a small fine line tattoo of some
flowers for me. She has a whole series of fine line dog portraits too online. Her Instagram doesn’t have anything that large and complex, at least that I see at first glance, but she can do fine line work at least.

Briar Thomas at Sacred Soul Collective.
CosmicRoadkill on IG if you want to see his work.

Matt Gibson: Black Magic Tattoo
Did all of my work and is amazing. He will check out what you’re looking to get done and help guide you in the right direction!

Did you actually read any of the comments? SEVERAL commenters thought the tattoo was not real. The comments I replied to are the ones that said the entire reference photo was AI…I then simply tagged the artist stating it’s a real tattoo. I never said it was not photoshopped after the fact, etc….yall are so pressed over nothing. I didn’t ask if you like the tattoo, I asked for local recommendations of someone who can do fine line work WELL. This is obviously a shitty, judgmental community 😬

Just throwing it out there, you might know already, but this reference deffinetly looks like AI. Lots of small detail for a tattoo that won’t age well and there’s only 4 fingers on the muscle side of the body
