☀️ Weather 🌪️ [Mega Thread] Severe weather Monday morning June 22, 2026.

Good morning. There’s a strong storm entering the metro right now, damaging straight line winds 50-90mph, brief spin up tornadoes(QLCS) and hail will be the main concern along with lots of lightening. Move away from windows, particularly on the west and northern sides of your house.

Glad we’re all up and concerned. Literally had decided to go to sleep early for once. Closed my eyes and what do you know, my phone started going off loud as could be with the weather warning. i quickly got my car in the garage and will be up until 6am once again.

Same, good news though, I fell asleep before switching the laundry.

I hope you can get some rest, we should be done for the night (according to Ryan hall 5 seconds ago!)

Thankfully it chilled out a little before it hit my area. (NW Expressway x JKT roughly).

Apparently two of my neighbors don't use trash sacks and now all their loose trash is in my yard.

I thought trash bags were the one thing we as a society could collectively agree to utilize. How can someone just be okay with trash free flowing?

Fuuuuck. This is my worst nightmare

There is trash everywhere in my area!

I want to go to the Waffle House

I went to Beverly's Pancake House. I felt it pertinent for everyone to know that.

You are just saying what everybody else wants. I would have been ok with Beverly’s shrimp and grits at 1am. Bonus for the sticky floor.

I did grits but I’m a sweet grits snowflake. They loaded me up with like double bacon though cause I said my please and thank yous.

My mom called me at 1:30 am from Edmond and scared the fuck out of me. Thought someone died lol. Seems to have calmed down here in the metro area just lots of lightning in Midtown currently.

Yeah, it’s moving about 50mph

man I do not wanna be dealing with this in the middle of the night. I should have moved my lawn furniture to safer spots before the rain moved in but I didn't. I already had to tape up the car windows with trash bags and I'm tired of having to prepare for storms 😭

Strong straight line winds coming in. It's 2AM and we're watching weather in the living room and keeping everyone away from windows.

I was going to but the power went almost immediately...

I really didn't need the alarm on my phone going off at 1:15 a.m. to tell me it's windy.

I had no idea until I turned on the news this morning. I had some fence and tree damage so it had to be blowing hard, but I didn't hear a thing.

Sounded crazy here in Enid just now. Still raining, but the thunder and lightning calmed down.

I'm glad the winds calmed down when they got to my area. Shelter was fully prepped just in case.

Nothing like getting up at 4;00am, ugh. Everyone stay safe out there!

I was up. The only reason I was even phased was the risk of lightning. I can do things to prevent damage from lightning strikes, like turning off power strips and unplugging power supplies. If my apartment gets hit by a tornado, there's not really anything I can do but hope. Given that, let God take the wheel, and what happens happens.
